After stopping by Herniones room, Audrina drove home with Chelsea.

During the night Hunter walked over to Hermiones room.

The girls went home where they both went right to bed. After a few hours of much needed sleep they woke, showered and dressed then had breakfast. Audrina was getting some clean things for Hunter.

Koen had refused to leave until Hermione showed signs that she would indeed be alright. So he was currently dozing off in a chair.

Hunter left to get them both some Coffee and he nudged Koen. "Hey Koen."

"Hmm?" He blinked his eyes opening sitting up quickly, looking from Hunter to Hermione.

"Coffee." Hunter nodded to the her cup of coffee on the table beside him. "How is she!"

He nodded his thanks picking up the cup and taking a sip. "She hasn't woken up yet. The doctor says it's best that she hasn't yet, it's gives her a chance to recover without so much pain."

Hunter nodded. "Good." He sighed. "Arthur she asleep."

He nodded. "How is he doing?"

"Doctor said that he should be fine, his feathers will take much longer if they grow back at all."

"Poor kid. He's still pretty young so hopefully that accounts for something."

He nodded. "I hope so." He pulled out his phone when he heard the bleep of an incoming phonecall and he looked at him, mouthing the word 'VET' and he answered. "Hello?....This is Hunter....Are you serious?....Thank you for doing what you could....I understand....I'll collect him tomorrow.....Thank you....Goodbye." He sighed before he looked at Koen. "Maxx died during his operations."

Koen nodded going quiet as he listened. "Damnit... that's terrible. Kids gonna be heartbroken."

"Yep....How do you tell your blind son that the one thing that gave him confidence and eyes is now dead?" He asked.

"It won't be easy and it's going to be a huge blow to him but that dog is a hero, Arthur will be alright."

He nodded. "You're right." He looked to Hermione. "She was always the best one to tell bad news, she told me my wife had died and she told me Arthur was blind." He sighed.

"She's amazing..." he whispered quietly watching Hermione.

He nodded. "She is."

Koen let out a breath watching Hermione still.

Hermione started to stir slightly.

He moved closer taking her hand. "Hey sweetie..."

She smiled slightly, the nurse had taken the tube out of her throat hours ago but her throat was still sore and hoarse.

He leaned forward kissing her forehead. "Would you like some water?"

Audrina and Chelsea returned midmorning.

Hunter was back with Arthur by then, and Arthur was propped up in bed by numerous pillows eating some breakfast as Hunter sat back in the chair closest to him drinking some coffee.

Hermione nodded weakly.

He poured her some water and held the cup to her lips.

Chelsea made her way in and Audrina had found crutches for her to use though she wasn't fully using them. "Art..." She whispered softly seeing him.

She smiled walking in.
