"Girls, give him space." Kol told them.

"But what if she dies?" Grace asked. "This is all my fault."

"No it's Dean's." Ariadne told her.

Brook stood there quietly staring at her feet.

Bo frowned at them all sitting herself down beside Deluca and leaning her head on his shoulder.

Madison looked at them all. "Is now really the time to be placing blame on anyone?"

"Madison is right, we need to be here for Sarah." Kol told them.

Grace sat next to No, sliding her hand into hers.

Bo held her hand.

Koen sighed nodding in agreement with Kol.

Kol watched them and they waited.

After a few hours, one of the doctors looking after Sarah came out of the operation room. He was looking for Deluca.

Deluca got to his feet right away and walked over. "How is she? How is the baby?"

"We've had to keep Sarah heavily sedated, the damage was worse than we feared."

"She's in a coma?" Ariadne asked, walking over.

"The baby is in an incubator on a ventilator, he swallowed a lot of blood that had entered the womb." The doctor explained. "I don't want to get your hopes up, but it is uncertain whether both of them.will survive."

Koen stood there and for a long time he was silent.

Bo walked over sliding her arms around her brother. "They're going to be alright, Ko. They're strong."

"Can we see them?" he finally whispered.

"The baby has been taken to special care unit, but only two in at a time there and we haven't finished preparing Sarah yet." The doctor told him. "I'll send my nurse to tell you when Sarah can have visitors."

Deluca nodded numbly. "Thank you," he muttered quietly.

He nodded and left them to it.

"Go and see your son Luca, the girls and I will wait here."

He barely nodded making his way to where the baby was being kept.

The baby was lying on his back in his incubator, he was only breathing through a tube. He was tiny, and red in skin colour, he wore a tiny diaper which still looked too big for him and a tiny wolly hat on his head. His tiny body was covered in wires to the monitors outside of the incubator.

Deluca let out a slow shaky breath walking over to the incubator and putting his hand into the area with the nurses okay, brushing just a finger against the little boy's tiny hand.

The nurses watched him and they gave him.encoiraging smiles. "Maybe if you talk to him, you could get some form of response?" One of the nurses offered. At his father's touch the baby's heartbeat spiked a little bit but he didn't seem to be in distress.

He barely nodded his gaze never leaving the baby. "Hey there... I'm your daddy," he whispered quietly not sure what it was he was supposed to say.

The reaction was slow, but the baby soon made a slight movement to his father's voice, gently clenching his fist.

Deluca sucked in a sharp breath, kneeling down so he could be face to face with the incubator. "You'll be okay... so will you're mama. She really loves you, you know... we both do."

The baby gave another twitch of his hand to his father's voice.

The nurses watched him and they could not help but smile, just as the door opened and Grace limped into the room. "Deluca, I needed to tell you....Sarah.....I might have a way to help her, so that she could be here for her boy."

He was very clearly teary-eyed for several moments, only blinking and looking away towards Grace for a split second. "How?"

"It's hard to explain, but once I turned into someone like us, someone with so much power it was hard to control....I can do that again....I can use their power to save Sarah and then she can help the little one." She told him, the last time she done this it had has it's risk, but she was willing to do it.

Koen turned to look at her. "If you're talking about Bo's powers no." That was the first thing that came to his mind. It had taken both Bo and Brooke many years to learn how to control their powers and Bo still had trouble at times.

"No, Bo won't be doing it, I won't let her....I will, please Deluca she's my sister, let me save her." She told him.

"And what if something happens to you, hm? Have you told the others about this?"

She shook her head. "Nothing will happen, I'm stronger now."
