Reuniting Tornedalians

A few weeks later, Isabelle was sitting on the windowsill of the room. She had laid Peyton in, everyone else was hunting so she was waiting for her to wake up. She had continued to remind her of Koby and promised to help her find him.

Peyton blinked her eyes open, stirring with a groan. Trying to sit herself up a little too quickly, wincing.

Isabelle looked over. "Good morning, it's okay it's just me Isabelle." She stayed over by the window to give her some space to wake up.

"Mm." She mumbled drowsily, pulling her phone out if her pocket to call Koby. Trembling.

"He's been calling you for weeks." She told her. "Don't worry he knows where you are." She continued.

She shook her head, putting her phone to her ear as she called him.

Koby was in a meeting in work so he didn't answer.

Peyton attempted a few more times, pulling her knees to her chest when after the fifth time in a row she finally gave up. Burying her face against her knees with a sob.

"Hey don't cry." Isabelle came and sat next to her, sliding an arm around her.

'"Let me go, let me go. Please let me go."

"Peyton it's okay everyone who is going to hurt you is gone, let me take you home."

"No.. No not home. Station - the station, he'll be there." She whimpered

"I can't take you there's there are. Too many werewolves I don't want them to hurt you by accident." She told her.

"I am going to Koby!" Peyton snapped, getting to her feet and heading toward the door.

She sighed and followed her.

"Sancutary my ass." Peyton muttered under her breath as she headed out of the building. Sticking to the shadows asxshe walked towards the police station.

"This isn't what Darius and I intended, we thought the other three were on the same. Side." Isabelle told her.

"Same side? I don't even know whats going on."

"It's a long story, probably best to tell you with Koby there, as it will be his problem too."

She wrinkled her nose in confusion, ducking into the police station and heading towards Koby's desk.

Koby was sat in the office, he had been promoted in the past week.

Peyton pushed her way inside, all but sprinting to him. Placing herself on his lap and burying her face against his shoulder, making herself small against him; trembling.

Koby looked at her and it was obvious that he was struggling with her being a full vampire at the moment but he still wrapped his arms around her.

"I didn't want them to, I- I didn't want them too. I changed my mi- mind but they they..." Peyton sobbed, tangling her fingers in the back his top.

"Sshh, it's okay." Koby told her, kissing her forehead.
