Peyton let out a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding in when Koby was between them, lifting her hand up to touch the back of her head where it was bleeding from the impact of the tree. "I'll cope."

David got himself up and he went for Koby, but Koby was quicker and pinned him to the tree on his front, after he moved Peyton out of the way.

"Koby, leave it. I'm fine, lets just go... Walk me home?" Peyton whispered.

Koby let him go and he walked back to her.

"Well somebody us whipped." David told him but this just caused Koby to turn back and punch him, before he caught back up with her.

Peyton swallowed thickly, hooking an arm through his when he caught up and whispering. "Thank you." Allowing how shaken she was show now David couldn't see

He slid his arm out of hers and slid it around her shoulders. "I'm sorry for bringing you here."

"No, don't be. It's my fault. I could tell he was strange, I shouldn't of tested it."

"Agree to disagree?" He asked.

"Yeah, ok." Peyton nodded. "I prefer you."

"Really?" He asked.

"Mhm."

"Good to know." He told her, trying to make her smile. "Come on, lets go and get something to eat."

"Food? Sure... Bring me to your favourite place."

"The one with the ice cream and milkshakes?" He asked her.

"Mm, yeah. Icecream would hit the spot right now."

"Hmm, one triple fudge sundae with extra sauce and chocolate?" He asked her as they walked towards the shop.

"Obviously." She laughed.

He smiled and let her grab them a table as he ordered her sundae and something for himself.

Peyton sat herself down quietly, picking up the menu to see if there was anything new.

He came back after he had placed their order and he sat across from her.

"So, the pack seem nice. David on the otherhand... "

"Yeah according to Danielle, he's become a bit of a dick since I left." He sighed. "I am sorry about him, if I had known before hand, I would have met him originally on my own..." He told her, there was something else that Danielle had obviously said to him.

"If you had known what beforehand?"

"If I had known how much of a stupid guy he was."

"Mm," Peyton hummed, reaching over to rest her hand over his. "I just gave him some home truths he couldnt cope with. Turns out guys don't like being told they come across as desperate and slimy, figures, huh?"
