"If he ever asked, then yeah."

The little boy smiled.

"Go back to your parents now, hm? I'm going to go and see whats taking so long." Peyton whispered, shooing him away before standing up straight and heading toward Koby.

Koby was alright, he was following the trail of blood that came from. The previous gunshots.

"Taking your time," Peyton whispered when she caught up, walking at his side.

"I couldn't find anything," He told her. "None of the wolves, the hunters not even some bullet casings."

"Strange," Peyton frowned, walking a little faster as she followed the blood trail.

He walked alongside her.

"This is a human blood trail, smells good."

"Lead the way babe."

Peyton hesitantly done so.

He followed.

"This is so weird." Peyton grimaced, pausing when the blood trail ended and looking around.

He stopped with her. "I know."

"Maybe we should just go back..."

"Yeah I agree, let's go."

Peyton turned and headed back.

He headed back, however as they got closer they heard screams coming from the camp and then he took off running.

Peyton's muscled tensed, sprinting after him; soon in stride with him

When they got to the camp, there was a crowd of people around something by one of the shelters, and when they saw Koby many ran to him.

Peyton walked around the people, going to where people were gathered. "Whats happening?"

When they got close the young boy that Peyton had been talking to was lying dead on the floor, his throat a mess, obviously the work of a new vampire.

Peyton inhaled sharply in surprise, though instantly regretting when she did as being in such proximety of the blood made her pupils react. Taking a few steps backwards she glanced over her shoulder at Koby.

Koby grabbed her shoulder, pulling her back to him. "Go home."

"No.. No I don't want to. I- I need to find whoever done this.'
