"Because of your lack of response out there with your family, Christian."

"I didn't know if you wanted me to tell them."

"They basically know now..."

"I know." He slid his arms around her, resting his hands on her stomach. "Think my mum is still slightly oblivious to the idea."

"I know," Peyton whispered, "You greatly dislike me right now, and I argued with you about it last night.. I don't have the energy to be accused of wanting everyone I love hurt again so.. You want to stay here. I'm fine with it if your father is. I don't want to fight you.""

She nodded. "Fine."

"Ok," She whispered, pressing her forehead against the back of Koby's shoulder.

Harrison blinked his eyes open to watch with a frown. "I have money in the diningroom, take it Faun.. Show your mum the coffee shop around the corner."

Faun nodded. "Are you going to be okay?" She asked him.

"i don't think your dad would try and steal my pack or anything while you are gone so he and I will be fine."

She smiled, kissing his lips gently. "Just be careful with yourself."

"I'll be fine. Go have a heart to heart."

She nodded, walking to get her coat before she looked to her mother. "Are you coming?"

Peyton swallowed thickly but nodded, quietly following.

She headed out with her.

"They seem to clash loads." Harrison whispered once they had gone

"Yeah." Koby agreed. "Peytons trying to be her mum but forgets Faun isn't what she expected."

"Keep encouraging Faun to be nicer to her.. And you. It's a good thing she's loved so much."

He nodded. "Unfortunately she got her stubbornness from me."

"Mm," Harrison hummed. "I- What do you think.. Of me and her?"

Koby was quiet for a minute. "I can't think of anyone better."

"Really?" He whispered, genuinely surprised.

He nodded.

"I wel.. That's really nice. Thank you."

He nodded. "Just look after her."
