Reuniting Tornedalians

Many of the wolves kept away from her they knew that she had been the one to ask the hunters to join them.

"Hed like this right?" Rebekah asked him quietly.

"Get a grip," Max snapped n a hushed tone when he saw the wolves move away from Peyton. "Stop behaving so awfully."

"Leave it Max," Peyton whispered, "I'm used to it, really." she added before walking away, moving to stand just to the side of Koby.

"Of course he would of,"

"You would defend them, hunter." One sneered.

Koby gave a loud whistle. "Stop, this is no time. For fighting, we are here to pay respects you want to argue or fight take it somewhere else."

Rebekah smiled softly.

"The way I see it, there isnt much difference between you and them. You both have the intelluect of a six your old and the loyalty of a fly." Max retorted. "I've been trained my whole life to be able to kill you before you can even blink so I would watch what you say to me."

Peyton quietly slid her fingertips into Koby's hand, squeezing it.

"Hey we've never liked Peyton she's stabbed us in the back numerous times, we just play nice for the alphas and Koby." One of the wolves told them. "This is her fault wake up and realise that your mother can make mistakes little boy."

"I said enough."

Peyton's muscles tensed at the wolf's words, swallowing thickly; clearly hurt.

"I never said she didn't, this isn't because its her. I'd call your nastiness out if it was anyone, its the hunters you need to punish. Don't ostricise someone who was doing their best. A couple of people died; without Peyton it would of been all of you."

"We would have been fine without the hunters." He argued.

"That's enough!" This time it was Faun as she walked towards the pack, Aby and Aly behind her. "Everyone back to their dens, now! That is enough fighting for one day." She watched as the wolves all bowed their heads and left.

"It's ashame it was Noah who died and not you," Max sneered at the wolf quietly before glancing over his shoulder at Faun.

Peyton exhaled shakily.

"I said that's enough." Faun warned her brother. "I said everyone home!" She told them and she watched the other wolves leave and she looked to Aly. "You and your mum are. Going to be staying with us, Aby go with her and take her things."

"You want to come for a walk with me?" Peyton asked Koby quietly.

"No, I can do it." Max mumbled, "Come on Aly,"

Koby nodded. "Let's go."

Aly sighed. "Both of you can go."

"I wanted to get you alone though, actually." Max mumbled.

Peyton walked in relative silence, sitting hereelf down once they got to the edge of the packs territory. "See, its all just been confirmed now, hasnt it? That they hate me."

"Don't worry I'll stay in another room with my headphones in, can't hear a thing then." Aby promised.

"Asking the hunters without discussing it with the pack was the final straw yes."

"I'm going to leave." Peyton mumbled. "Are you going to come with me?"

Max just grimaced at that and shook his head. "Forget it, doesnt matter. Just you two go, I have stuff to do anyway."

He sighed. "Where would you go?"

"Are you sure?" Aly asked. "You can come with if you want."

Max shook his head, "No, I'll just catch you another time."

"I don't know yet," Peyton whispered with a small shrug. "Away from the pack, from Faun, from Max. Somewhere where I can't do any damage."

"Oh... Okay."

He shrugged. "I don't know at the moment."

"I don't see how we are going to have a happy relationship like this... If thats what you even want anymore."

Max wandered off

Aly sighed and she headed back to her parents home.

"Peyton, I just lost one of my friends, can't you wait to ask me these questions?" He asked.

"Koby, so did I but that doesnt stop anyone from being horrible to me." Peyton mumbled. "I need to know about us, so I know how far away I can run. I'd stay in the area for you, if I don't have you there isnt anything for me here anymore."

"We can discuss this another time, I would like to repay my respects properly to my friend and this is not something thay you can just run away from."

"The pack hating me is, all I can do is run from it. Ever since we met I have worked to make them like me, I'm too tired now. Too beaten down by it all. I'm not pyschic, I done what I thought was right and were it anyone else they would be told that by others but its me so thd opposite is said. I am done with them, I am done with being expected to be perfect, I am done with begging you to support me. All I wanted was you safe, now you are, and we havent been able to hug since. The pack aren't going to be a part of my life anymore, and we need to work harder on us if you want us to be too."

"I'm not going to argue about this, I'm going to pay respects to my friend, you can come. Or stay."

"It's not an argument, its a conversation Koby. One we have to have." Peyton answered. "I'm not coming, or staying; I am leaving. I'll be in the town somewhere, find me when you've made a decision about us." she muttered, getting to her feet and walking away.

He watched her go before he walked towards where Noah was buried.
