"Mm." Peyton mumbled, looking ahead of her once again.

"You could at least look at me."

"I have been looking at you," Peyton whispered. "So, this pack...why do they not want that alpha anymore?"

"He wants to retire with his wife, she's human and expecting a little girl."

"Ah." She mumbled.

"He was going to talk to Faun tomorrow." He told her. "But I wanted to talk to you first, after all this is your territory now."

"Ah, so this is business. I'm not in charge of the coven, Koby. I'll bring you to Belle though."

"Mainly because I wanted to tell you to make you aware in case you didn't want to. See me."

"Well, we've established that I do so..." She shrugged

"So now I know."

"So then, friends." She mumbled

"As a start." He suggested.

"Mm."

He smiled softly.

"I don't know what to say now," She whispered. "I uh.. I should go, have things to do."

"Yeah I have to get back before I'm missed." He told her. "It was nice to see you Peyton."

"You too." She whispered, almost sadly.

He smiled softly.

She got to her feet and walked away then, closing the door to the coven building behind herself.

He shifted back into a wolf and headed home.

Peyton headed into the kitchen, opening up a bottle of vodka and drinking it straight.

"Hey, you okay?"

"The ex wants to be 'friends'." Peyton hissed, swearing when the glass bottle broke under her grip. "How am I meant to do that?"

"Well that's up to you." She told her. "You obviously still like him or you wouldn't be pissed."

"I do still like him, thats the problem." Peyton answered. "How can I be 'just friends' with him when I want him. How can I watch people flirt with him and everything else that comes along with the 'just a friend' label."
