She kissed his head gently.

"But it does, Andre. What do you think the cause of most of my pain was before you? That attitude. If I keep trying they'll come around - they don't."

"Don't," Noah whispered. "Your keeping things from me, then using me as a punching nag for those things. Apologies dont make it better we need to actjally talk about it."

He shrugged.

Peyton watched the floor then

"Because I don't want you to worry." She told him.

He watched the ceiling.

"Well it's hurtful, I shouldn't have to find out from other people that you are having a hard time - we are meant to be supporting each other, like we always have, not keeping secrets and then yelling at each other because you aren't being honest with me. I'm no punching bag, Rebekah."

"I. Don't mean to treat you like that I'm. Sorry."

Noah just rolled his eyes, mumbling a quiet, "Whatever."

"You know you say talk so I talk and I apologise, and yet you just roll your eyes and say whatever..... What's the point of talking about it if this is the outcome?"

"I don't know what to say to an apology. I don't know what to say to you saying you didn't want to bother me with your problems, I thought we spoke about everything - I'm trying to work out what I've done to make you think you couldn't speak to me, I'm trying to work out where our marriage has fragmented without me even knowing."

"It's not fragmented." She told him, moving to lean against his desk. "I just don't want to worry you, what people say would upset you, the job of a spouse is to protect that was our vow and in trying to protect you from them."

Noah shook his head, frustrated. "I want to know, it's upsetting you and I want to know. You should tell me, you aren't protecting me, your hurting me more than mean words from pack members ever could. What are they saying?"

She told him what they were saying about how Elijah hadn't been brought up right and how she was a terrible mother.

"I don't see how you not telling me any of that protects me, or does anything other than causes a rift between us." Noah muttered, "But it's done now. I'm sorry you feel that you can't tell me when things are upsetting you, don't mean to be so shit of a husband. I'm going to go tend to my garden, don't follow me, I'll be there all night."

"Feel like it," He mumbled, getting to his feet and walking to the hallway to pull his coat on. Not seeming phased when the rain began.

She followed him. "You're not, if you were you wouldn't be my husband." She told him. "Noah don't just go, please."

"I need space, my feelings are hurt." Noah mumbled. "I'll be back tomorrow." He whispered before walking out, closing the door behind himself.

Rebekah sighed and she tried to hold her tears in and she managed to make it to her room.

Noah was making his way back from the small garden area to the main pack area, pausing when he spotted the more elderly of the group whom had been nasty about Rebekah to the side. Silently thoughtful for a moment before he went to approach them

The women were all wives of the elders of the pack and they were talking about the other women in the pack.

Noah sat himself down on the spare seat in front of them, tapping his foot against the ground as he waited for them to finish.
