Reuniting Tornedalians

"I'm fine thank you." Isadora told her with a smile.

"Mm, okay. Are you joining us for food, anything you don't like?"

"No tha k you, I have my own food at home that I need to eat before my dad comes home."

"Ah, okay well, maybe next time, hm?"

She nodded. "Yeah sure.

Peyton just wandered back to the livingroom then.

Geo silently made his way up the stairs and to his room

Isadora followed him quietly.

Andre looked over to Peyton. "Well that lasted about ten seconds."

"That interaction, yeah. Teenagers, huh?" She hummed with a small shrug.

A few days later, Aly was sat in the living room with Max and she was waiting for Ella to come home so that they could talk to her about adding to their family.

Abi was out on a walk with Madoc and Malika, and she was showing Malika all of hers and Madoc's favourite places.

Oliver was on patrol with Ella, well it wasn't really patrol, they were sat near the river enjoying the one day of sun that they had. "Why have you not told Max and Aly about us?" He asked her.

Jeni was in their kitchen making her and Chris some lunch. "Do you think Oliver is hiding something from us?" She asked as she cooked.

Faun was sitting in Rebekah's place, they were playing chess and just generally talking. "Do you think it would be wise for him to go back to Abi and ask to continue with his alpha training?"

"Elijah said that he would consider it, and it might boost his confidence a bit." Rebekah told her as she made a move on the chess board.

"Hiding something?" Christopher hummed gently with a raised eyebrow, "I mean, you know him better than me so... do you think he is?"

Noah was sat on a chair in between them, watching the chess game intently and humming, "I don't know how much his consider it is worth though, any mention of alpha related things he closes in now."

Ella just shrugged a little bit, making patterns in the water with her toes as she signed back in response It just hasn't come up. Have you told your parents yet?

"Maybe he needs to hear it from Abi?" Faun suggested. "Or have Abi invite him on her rounds, they are cousins afterall."

"It feels like it." She told him. "But I can't think of what he wouldn't want to tell us."

Oliver shook his head. "Not yet, I wanted to know if you were okay with them to know."

"She said she would be home by now," Max mused with a frown, staring at the clock on the wall.

"Or maybe its better how it is, we thought he could be an alpha - maybe we were wrong. You should of seen the way he spoke to your father, it was a weird mixture of peacekeeper and alpha. Very strange."

"I'm sure whatever it is, he'll tell us when he is ready. He is a smart young man, I trust him." Christopher answered with a relaxed shrug.

Ella grimaced a little bit at that, Maybe we should tell them at the same time, together. So nothing goes around as gossip.

"I know....Do you think we should look for her?"

Faun nodded. "Not unusual though." She told him. "He didn't complete the training the way that Abi did, we taught her how to mirror both sides, from what you and Becks have told us, it seems like he has an internal battle."

She nodded. "As do I...But we've always been honest with each other...It's just....Weird for me I guess."

Oliver nodded. "Sounds good." He smiled softly, leaning over and kissing her cheek. "I should probably get you home though."

Geo was sat on one of the benches at the cemetry waiting for Isadora just as the sun was beginning to set, quietly flipping through pages of the latest book he wanted to exchange with her.

"No, no... I don't think so, not yet, let's give her another hour and then we have a proper right to worry and lecture her about it." Max chuckled.

"I don't know what the means," Noah shrugged, "I'm just saying, maybe he isn't meant to be one after all, hm? Maybe it's easier for everyone if he isn't one again. At least he gets to stay here then, where we can keep an eye on him."

"I'm sure if it was anything important he would tell you, or if he isnt telling us then its for an important reason. Its okay, hm? Just let him be the adult he is growing into."

I don't want to go back yet, they want to 'talk, which means they'll ask me about my feelings about one thing or another. They are always so scared about my feelings, I am sick of everything being a huge conversation, you know?

Isadora ran over after a few minutes and she sat next to him. "Hey."

Aly nodded. "Good idea."

Faun nodded. "You two are his parents, all we can do is suggest." Faun told him. "But we are family, and we will help him as much as we can."

"It probably won't be that bad."

Jeni nodded.

"Hey," He hummed, catching her hand to kiss her fingertips in greeting as she sat down next to him. "I have a really good one for you this time, I think its a new favourite."

"I'm full of those," Max hummed with a grin.

"How do you know.. if someone is cut out to be an alpha or not?" Noah asked quietly.

It never is, that's the whole point. Massive family meetings over tiny things, I wish they would just tell me something casually for once.

"Maybe this time they want your opinion on something." He suggested.

"Usually by their strength, their loyalty, the amount that they care about the pack, the things they do." Faun shrugged.

Aly smiled and she kissed his cheek. "Yes you are."

Isadora smiled. "Well, let's see then."

Geo passed her the book, having taking the front cover off of it - as well as any pages that had the authour or the name of the story on it. "I hope you'll like it."

"And do you think he instinctively has any of that?" Noah asked with a raise of an eyebrow.

I'll go back home when I'm ready to Oliver, you can go back when you want though. You don't have to wait for me.

She flicked through and saw the pages missing. "Is this half a book?"

"Somewhere, deep down possibly." SHe told him. "Elijah was so hung up on having the respect by force he forgot the things that Abi did teach him."

"Nah, I like spending time with you." He told her.

Aly smiled at his grin.

"The story is complete, the book... maybe not. It's not exactly published yet, I told the author I'd keep identity and all that kind of stuff secret.' He hummed with a grin. "Just, give it a chance?"

"Thats a myth," Noah answered. "He done nothing by force, not from what Becks and I saw. He asked nicely and sometimes they said yes, other times they said no. It was only when they verbally went after him he lost his temper which is a teenage thing rather then anything to do with his character. Lets not go and paint an incorrect narrative, I dont think being an alpha is for him because of his mental health, not because he is some tyrant who ruled with fear."

Max kissed her cheek. "Want another drink while we wait?"

"Noah none of us saw him all of the time." Faun reminded him. "We don't know what he was like truly."
