"Why?" Ella asked with a suspicious eyebrow raise. "You aren't going to be mean are you? He has been amazing with all of this."

"No, no it's not. Uh, we have an ex hunter in the pack - his name is Chris, it's my friends dad. Maybe - maybe he could help your dad with.. letting go?"

Madoc just smiled and watched her go.

"Don't worry I'm not."

She kissed his lips gently. "Be safe."

"Think about it," Elijah answered with a small shrug, eventually dropping the topic entirely and asking; "Are you okay, after today?"

"Okay.." Ella answered cautiously, wandering out of the kitchen and humming to Oliver; "My mum wants you."

"I'll just be here, stop fretting firecracker, go."

"I'm fine, are you?"

Oliver nodded and he got up heading into the kitchen.

She smiled and she kissed his lips once more before she headed out to Faun and Harrison's den.

Ella watched him go before going to find Max.

Elijah nodded, wandering over to sit himself down. "I uh, yeah I'm okay. Before there are any other nasty surprises though, what is the conflict between yours and Dmitri's family?"

"It's an ancient conflict, my family are elemental witches thriving on life and your know good, his family are more of the dark magic kind."

Aly spoke to Oliver quietly in the kitchen before they both went in search of ALy and Max.

"Necromancy, demons, yeah." Elijah nodded in understanding. "Which one is more powerful? Yours or his?"

"Hey," Ella hummed in greeting when she saw them.

"To be honest we are both exactly the same."

"Hey Princess." Aly smiled.

"Whats the secret conversation about?"

"Nothing major." Aly told her with a smile.

Ella frowned, moving her gaze to Oliver then - trying to work it out via his body language

Oliver wasn't giving anything away. "You'll find out soon enough, don't worry."

"I don't like surprises." Ella frowned.

"Mm, well I hope you and Dmitri can get over the ancestor thing though. We all hang around quite a bit."

"Yeah I noticed." She told him. "Maybe it will just take time."

"You'll like this one." Aly promised.

"Mm, maybe. I'll ask Belle to have a word with Dmitri - he'll probably listen to her."

Ella just frowned. "Debatable."

She nodded. "Sounds like they have a good relationship."

Aly smiled. "Now come on you three lets get downstairs and eat."

"Mm, seems like it. Oliver and my niece Ella are the sweetest though."

Aly headed downstairs and she headed ino the kitchen to start plating up.

"You have to, the three of us grew up at the same time. We're all close."

She smiled slightly. "Well then I would love to."

"The pack is a... crazy dynamic." He whispered. "I uh, I had my own about a year ago now. I was an alpha."

"What happened?" She asked. "If its painful you don't have to tell me."

"No, it's okay. The pack, the current one, it was beginning to feel like a vendetta against me - they kept telling me to turn myself down, wouldn't take what I had to say on board. There was one incident that escalated where Abigail stabbed me with a silver dagger, and that was the last straw for me so I left and I found this pack and I took over and it felt like it was going well, that they accepted me. Turns out they didn't, I got challenged one day - the guy let me live. I had no choice but to run back with my tail between my legs, it was humiliating - it still is. The only reason I have wound my neck in is because my parents kept fighting about me, so I've just.. given up. I know I'm not meant to be in Abi's pack, but my pack - I adored them and they despised me and it hurt. Packs are great but they rip you to pieces the first chance they get if you don't fit the mould."

Alex nodded as she listened.

"So now I am just living this half version of me in this place where I dont feel I fit until I work it out," He hummed with a small shrug.
