Ana called out to the others.

“It’s almost a year.”

"And that is supposed to make it any better?" he snorted.

“Like I’ve told you it’s not your concern.”

"Of course not.. yet you told me."

She shrugged. “Thought that I’d give you a small nugget.”

"Right. Sounds more like you're rubbing it in my face."

She shrugged with a smile.

He rolled his eyes.

"Anyway, we have what we need."

He arched a brow.

She held out her hand to show a heart - it was small, but it was dark.

He stared at her, almost as if he didn't see what it was she was showing him.

"We got what we wanted, even in the throes of maddness, your friends were protected."

Without another word or glance at them he took off towards the house to see what was going on.

Back at the house, Alice had managed to get their friends into the hidden passage out of the house along with her daughter but she had lost her fight in the kitchen but her body was bleeding and battered showing that she certainly went down with a fight.

Frankie could be heard throwing things around when he walked in and saw what he did.

Hayden sneaked her way back out of the passage once she could smell that the coast was clear and she following Frankie's sounds.

She would easily find him throwing things around in a fit of rage.

“Frankie, stop.”

He didn't seem to hear her at all.

Hayden eventually grabbed his arms and pinned them to his sides. “Stop she wouldn’t want this.”

He narrowed his eyes at her. "This isn't for her," he snapped. "It's for me. To keep me grounded.. from doing something even more stupid right this second."

Hayden still kept hold of him. “I’m talking about Lily, she wouldn’t want her papa to be like this.”

"I needed a minute.. " He grumbled angrily. "Where's Lily?"
