"Bad time for a vision." Magnus grimaced, reaching over to sweep Thea up into his arms and bring her to his chest. "I've got you, T."

Aodhän rolled his eyes at the show of comfort. "This is all ridiculous."

"Is- Isol-" She cut off in frustration with herself, turning her head to clear her throat before attempting again. "Isolde, hi... I- how do you feel? I'm glad your... glad I got- never mind." She tensed, tightening her grip on Wyatt's arm.

"Like you."

“A-Alone, Wyatt.” Isolde commanded hoarsely. “Go outside.”

“But - Aodhän said - “

“Go find Kael and bring him to me. I am still your Queen. Now go!” Isolde said slowly but firmly, waiting until Wyatt had gone before turning her one good eye to Florence.

“And you, my handsome man. If you can’t see it I’ll just have to remind you every day.”

“I think this is a sign we should take some time to think about our options.” Dagmar said quietly then, glancing around them all.

“Isolde will be okay… you get your wedding.” Thea murmured as she came to, eyes glancing blearily toward Aodhän. “Dress isn’t to my taste but whatever…” she added after, leaning against Magnus. “Actually it’s fucking hideous, she’s wearing a really ugly dress.”

"I don't think it is cultural appropriate to call another species wedding attire ugly, T." Magnus laughed quietly, ducking his head down to press his lips to the top of her head. "I- I agree with Dagmar though. Time to think.. it's needed."

"I perfectly content with leaving. I still have a list of things to do." Conan mumbled, getting to his feet.

"I must check on Isolde."

"N-no, please don't makes him- Wy-" Florence whined quietly, swallowing thickly when she was left alone. Cautiously approaching Isolde so she wouldn't have to strain her voice.

"You're under no obligation to stay with me.. things - things change. I feel tge bandages around my eyes, I don't know what it'll look like when they come off."

“When you came back from the Wolves, you told me you saw me with Kael’s child. You told me visions you had of me being with my family. Of our happiness. Was that all a lie?” Isolde asked quietly. “Just things you brought up because you thought that’s what I wanted to hear?”

“My wedding dress couldn’t be called ugly by anyone.” Thea hummed, closing her eyes.

“Let’s give it a few days. Mull things over.”

“Stop this. Stop it right now. How you look changes nothing for me. I love you. I want to be with you, always.”

"No, I've never lied of my visions. If I had then I never would have told you they went away, I would have continued to lie." Florence whispered, swallowing thickly. "It was only at the end Draven turned me, whilst I was captured by them I had plenty of visions, you know all of those now. I - I - Forgive me but we both knew I wasn't your biggest fan at first as you weren't mine but I meant what I told you - being with them made me appreciate you and then... I love you, Isolde.. I - you are one of those friends that made me feel loved and I know I am needy, I do, but that - I never felt safe. You made me feel safe when I came home, and I do mean it when I say home. You are my friend, and Draven can kill me but he doesn't get to hurt you that's- that's why I saved you. I don't know how I got out of there alive, I've never attacked more than a rabbit. Learned all of this alone, based on a fes sentence Raffetry gave me. I care for you, your land, your people... you though. Especially you, and Aodhän and Kael and Wyatt."

"Two nights. Tonight, tomorrow. Then we'll meet." Aodhän finalised. "Same time, same place. Keep the Adair's in their cells until then though."

"I agree with that." Conan nodded. "No more releasing anyone."

"The releases we done will benefit you Conan, don't be too righteous." Magnus chuckled tiredly before whispering to Thea. "When we get home we will celebrate, OK? Her life.. I mean. We have been sad, yes, but.. she deserves a party doesn't she, too? Not just misery."

"I just. I-"

“If you felt so safe why did you - why did you not say sooner?”

“It’ll be her birthday by the time we get back and settled won’t it? We should have a party for that.” Thea agreed, curling into him.

“At least we all agree on keeping the mutts down in their cell for now.” Dagmar nodded. “And hopefully your indiscretion releasing Matilda and Iszak will have good results.”

“Nothing. I love you. Always.”

"I - I didn't feel safe to that extent." Florence admitted quietly. "I - I'd met Cadoc who told me he'd kill anyone who was a wolf no matter who they were - whether he was close to them or not before. I - I told Dagmar, I thought she loved me and she shoved me out of the room and screamed at me like I was.. like I was this monstrosity. Wyatt was always suspicious I hurt you and he didn't know but I - I mean if he thought I would as a Seer what would he think if it came out and then how would he sway you?" Cautiously, she reached her hand out to take Isolde's and squeeze it. "I - I had a lot of fears... and I had to figure it all out alone too. I'm glad your awake though... I'm glad your okay."

"Anything that helps us get out babies back sooner I am happy with, and Karina of course." Conan whispered. "I am sure you miss her, Thea, as much as Dagmar and I."

Aodhän shook his head, getting to his feet with a nod to dismiss himself before leaving the room.

"I love you too." Dmitri whispered. "I just don't want you to make promises when I don't know how much help I'll need to... to do mundane tasks at the start."

“Let me have her for a few weeks at some point? I miss her a lot.” Thea asked, tone only half joking.

“Dmitri, I promise you I’m here. I don’t care what you need. Please believe me. You’re never going to be too much for me, I love you so much.”

“You… could’ve hurt Kael. That’s - i could’ve helped you control it has I known but by not telling me, as a new wolf, you put my so - you put Kael at risk. Had you lost control.”

"I could have, I suppose, but I never did." Florence whispered, swallowing thickly. "Just as you could have helped me, but, I don't believe you would have for the exact fear you just expressed. Just as - just as I believe you needn't correct yourself, Kael is your son... you have been in his life so long; you are within your right to call him a son."

"That is something you'll need to discuss with her family, and herself." Conan answered sympathetically. "As long as things calm down though, it is okay by me."

"Sorry, excuse me." Magnus whispered, getting to his feet and gently placing Thea where he had once sat. Offering a hand out to Dagmar, "Can we talk for a moment?"

"I just don't think you can say that for sure yet. I- I don't know how I'll cope so how will ypu?"

“He doesn’t see me as a mother, he lost her and I’m not trying to replace her.” Isolde waved her off. “You leave me in a very hard situation Florence. What on earth does one do with you?” She asked sadly. “I don’t know what to do with you…”

“Of course.” Dagmar nodded, taking his hand to step outside with him.

Thea curled up in the chair, holding herself. “I really miss her…”

“I know there’ll be good days and bad days. And we’ll struggle and laugh and cry but I - we will be there together.”

"She misses you, or.." He paused, watching Dagmar and Magnus leave. "She did when she left. It is hard when the Guardian's have prevented you coming to us, now she has the twins and especially since Emmett is so anxiously of that area of land."

"I don't remember the last time we had an opprintit to be alone." Magnus explained quietly. "I just.. felt the need to see how you were."

“The Guardians love their punishments don’t they?” Thea whispered sadly. “They’ve taking almost everything from me and it probably isn’t all they have in store.”

“I miss my children, I am tired and I wish to go home and just lay in bed for weeks on end with my kids under the covers.” Dagmar replied honestly, giving him a sad smile. “And you?”

“No matter what comes… I’m here. You can’t get rid of me.”

"I wish it was just jthat but It is not having the time to mourn, it is losing Thea again after promising no one would ever take her. It's.. hard." Magnus whispered, swallowing thickly.

"No, you are just.. comparing your experience and not being empathetic to others." Conan whispered. "I have no interest in pouring out my heart when it will be waved away to calls of 'well I have had it harder'. It turns me into villain for daring to have emotion."

“Maybe - maybe teach her how to defend herself? Thea, the other Seers included, they’re not warriors. And there’s no need to ask them to be but - maybe if she knew how to use a knife more effectively than just stab and go she may feel safer, knowing she had some agency to protect herself?”

“You get your children back, by the way. I see you a lot with your daughter, small glimpses as she’s older. She’s going to make you tear your hair out with how stubborn she is, and the trouble she causes… she ends up better at horsemanship than you in the end…”

"Aesira being stubborn and making me want to tear my hair out seems exactly like I predicted." Conan laughed quietly. "What about my boy? Have you seen much of him?"

"That's- yeah, that sounds so obvious doesn't it." Magnus whispered with a shaky breath, lifting his hand up to rub his face "I should of thought of that."

"I have been perfectly controlled this whole time, so much so you only found out when I needed it to help you. Anyone who questions how safe I am is insane."

Dagmar shook her head, pulling Magnus into a hug then. “You’re not to blame for what happened. She may just want holding for a while, extra assurance. Stronger guards. She may just want you for a while. And I think you just want to be with her and hold her for a while too? You both deserve some quiet.”

“His Achilles heel will be his arrogance. He’ll surpass you, Conan. In every way - as sons should. But he’ll need to be careful as if his head grows too big he won’t be able to balance his life. The three loves of his life will be his partner, his family and the country, not always in that order of priority and that will cause problems till he learns balance…”

“Our people don’t trust your kind… it is not without reason, Flo.” Isolde sighed softly, grimacing in pain as she shifted slightly. “But you saved my life and I cannot - will not - ignore that.”

"I am not one of them." Florence answered bluntly. "I was attacked, Isolde. I had no choice. I was attacked and they pushed me away from Raffetry as he was beginning to teach me to try and turn me into a walking bomb. I am in no way in any league or favours with the Adair's. If i didn't know you would have killed me in an instant I would have told you, but you weren't my biggest fan."

You forget what quiet sounds like, don't you?" He whispered, lifting his arms up to hug her back.

We maintain the peace the best we can and hopefully these last few years will just be a nightmare occasionally popping up in your sleep. You’re not failing, you haven’t failed her. You’re still her safety and her comfort.”

“I don’t know what to do with you.” Isolde admitted in defeat, her words slurring slightly as she grew exhausted. “For now - you are free to roam the halls… don’t make me regret it, please, Flo.”

"It is nice to hear that they both reach adulthood." Coman laughed nervously. "Maybe that is a sign that this is the last war."
