She blinked at him. "When.. were you going to tell me that?" Not that it was very important or anything but that must have meant he felt everything she had been feeling the day before.

“I did tell you I was an empath.” He reminded her.

“That part I can deal with I have maternal instincts from the animals.” She told her through deep breaths.

"When?" She didn't remember him telling her unless she had been too distracted which was a lot like her.

Just then Koen could be heard pulling up and parking out front.

Hunter met him outside with Arthur, deciding to let him know what was going on to prepare him. “She’s on a lot of pain, I’ve called her midwife.”

“When I met you in the stable that day.”

Koen took in every they told him, nodding a few times. All he wanted was to be with Hermione so he could show her that she wasn't alone.

"So yesterday? The day before?" The days were a little blurry to her but it wasn't very long ago.

“I believe it might have been yesterday.”

Hunter opened the door for him to go to his sister.

“She’s going to be okay right?” Arthur asked him.

“She’ll be alright.” Hunter promised. “She always is.”

Hermione somehow ended up knelt on the floor finding this slightly more comfortable right now though she still held Audrinas hand for comfort

She bit her lip. "Yesterday was a day..." An emotional day.

Audrina moved with her to be at her side, coaching her through breathing.

Koen headed inside and straight to Hermione. "I'm here."

“I know and it’s okay.” He told her.

“I am so scared right now.” She whispered.

He smoothed her hair. "It's okay to be scared. I'm right here."

She wrapped her arms around him. "I'm sorry..."

“What are you sorry for?”

She nodded her free hand gripping his wrist she needed his comfort with this she was scared not for herself but for the baby she didn’t want anything to be wrong especially not when she was still a month early.

"My scatterbrained attitude and my childishness that you're going to fall victim to a lot more than just yesterday," she told him.

He let her hold onto him however she needed to, kneeling down beside her.

“I’ll take all that everyday if it means that I still get you.”

“Can someone tell me that nothing is wrong please?” She pleaded.

Chelsea looked at him with flushed cheeks. "Oh, Bastian.."

"Your Healer is on the way, until then just try to keep calm and do what you're doing. Everything's alright," Audrina told her.

Hermione nodded hanging onto those words like it was a lifeline just as there was a knock on the door and Hunter answered it coming back with the midwife.

Koen was sitting on his knees in front of her her so she could see his face, still letting her hold onto him.

"She's in a lot of pain," Audrina told the midwife as she came in.

She shifted to be able to kiss him softly but also with a great deal of passion.

“It’s okay dears, would you two mind going out for a minute.” The midwife asked looking to Hunter and Audrina. “I don’t think your sister would appreciate her family seeing her lower regions.”

Hermione gripped his hand tightly using his presence to try and ground herself her grip tightening with each wave of pain.

He matched his kiss to hers immensely

"Of course, we'll be just down the hall," she told her taking Hunter's hand and leaving the room with him.

Koen rubbed his thumb over the back of her hand. "That's it. Easy breaths..."

She smiled against his lips.

Hermione tried to follow his pattern of breathing to keep hers under control.

“Okay Hermione darling I need you to lie down somewhere for me and we need to get these leggings off.” The midwife told her. “I need to check you to make sure that you’re not going into early labour.”

“I can’t be,” Hermioke told her. “It’s too early.” She was too scared to move, she just wanted this to be over too scared to know what was happening with their baby.

He smiled softly

It's okay, you got this," he told her, getting to his feet so he could help Hermione onto hers as well. He was nervous too but he was trusting their midwife to know what was happening.

Hermione accepted his help though she was struggling to work through the pain, she let Koen help her into a good position for the midwife to cheek her over and she slid her leggings off for her. “Keep hold of her Koen, I’ll make it quick so it’s not too uncomfortable for her.” She promised as she checked Hermione over.

She broke it for a moment but then kissed him again.

He did everything that he could to help Hermione and as assisted the midwife as needed.

“Okay hermione darling you aren’t going to like this but you’re going into Labour.” She told her and it was like an elastic band snapped, Hermione became instantly terrified. “I know it’s a lot sooner than we expected but we can’t stop this now, I will help them as much as I can.”

“No no no,” Hermione told her. “It’s too soon, you told me it was too soon.” She told her trying to hold abck her tears. “They’ll die, don’t make me do this, please.” She begged. “I can’t let them die.”

Hunter wa spacing the corridor like he normally did when he was worried and anxious he wanted to know that his sister was alright and her child.

He kissed her back each time she kissed him

"Mione', it's going to be okay.. our baby is strong. You're strong.. the strongest women I've ever met in my entire life. You can do this.. I'm right here.. we are all right here." He tightening his hand around hers.

Audrina was leaning against the wall, keeping an eye on him.

This time she kept the kiss and deepened it right away.

He matched his kiss to hers.

Hunter continued to pace every so often setting something small on fire but he put it back out quickly.

“I can’t do this knowing that they won’t make it, please Koen don’t let me do this.” She begged him tears falling down her cheeks.

“Hermione sweetheart you don’t have much choice.” The midwife told her, gently rubbing her back. “We are both here with you.” She promised. “But we have to do this.”
