Creatures of the Dark

A few days later, Alessia would have continued to get small gifts left outside of her door, one was a teddybear, another was her favourite book, and the latest one was a small gold chain with a pendant on in the shape of her favourite flower. He hadn't verbally apologised, but each one had a note saying that he was sorry and could they talk now? The last one just said that this was the last time he would send her a gift. Now he was waiting to see if she recieved the last one, and he wanted to talk to her.

Alessia made her way into the kitchen, pulling a blood bag out of the fridge and - with her nose wrinkled in disgust - poured it into a thick plastic cup.

"Thoughtyou had gotten used to this by now." He mused from where he sat on the counter in the corner.

"No, it's always going to be disgusting to me. I only drink it when I have to, when I notice deterioration."

He nodded. "Fair enough." He told her. "So, what else have you been up to these past six months?"

"Just what I told you about, there is lots to do. It isn't.. simple."

He nodded. "You know, I did actually miss you right?" He asked. "And I am sorry."

"Not a lot to be honest, hung around here, patched up with Stefan, tried to live the life I shouldhave." He shrugged. "Now I'm not at the beck and call of your mom, I don't really know what to do with myself." He admitted.

"I-.. Alice said she could help us if we wanted.."

Nate grinned at her.

"I know but I was actually able to manage it on my own," he seemed proud that he was able to handle this simple task that isn't always that easy.

"I'm not but thank you for thinking so," Sophia smiled softly at him.

Max looked to her. "Is it something that you want?" He asked.

She smiled back.

She smiled. "Well, I am very proud of you." She told him, kissing his cheek.

"I-.. I don't even know if I can."

He kept his smile.

Frankie chuckled, kissing her back.

"We could always try, whenever you're ready." He told her.

She smiled softly. "I love you Frankie."

She smiled. "I love you,"

Rylee blinked at him, her face as bright as it could be in her state.

"I love you too." He smiled back.

Nate kissed the side of her head. "I love you too."

Alice smiled.

Max looked to her, raising an eyebrow at her sudden brightness.

Hayden smiled softly.

Frankie leaned his head against hers.

Rylee couldn't help it that she was a bit bashful about this conversation.

Nate smiled back at her.
