Alessia wrinkled her nose, shaking her head in the negative at the offer. Muscles too sore.

She walked alongside him quietly for a few minutes, lightly swinging their hands between them.

The following morning Sophia woke with the sun that shone through the bedroom curtains, her face stained with dried tears from having cried in her sleep several times throughout the night. After a hot shower, changing her clothes and fixing her hair back into a tight french braid, she had made her way downstairs for some toast and juice before heading outside to meet up with Elliot.

Elliot sat on the trunk of a felled tree, his fingers gently tracing the bark as he waited for her.

She came up right in front of his this morning, no games or messing about like she may have on another day. "Morning," she said quietly, rocking lightly on her heels.

"Good morning, sleepy head."

She gave him a light grin. "How late am I?"

"Well, you're on time. Which means you're half an hour late." Elliot grinned.

Sophia laughed. "Hey, that's actually not all that bad considering you never gave me an exact time."

"Be earlier tomorrow, mm?"

"Okay. You give me a time you want me to you meet and I'll be here," she agreed. "What are we starting with?"

"I need to see what your stamina is like now. We need to run. As we are, and then shifted."

She nodded. "It's been a little bit since I've ran but lets go then," she gestured for him to lead the way.

"Keep up." He advised, setting off at a jog ahead. The pace soon quickening to a sprint.

Sophia had no trouble keeping up with the pace that he had started with and when it switched to a sprint she said nothing at all, keeping up only a step or two behind him so if he changed directions ahead of her she wouldn't crash into him.

"We are following the stream, it loops all of the way around the forest and ends back at the house. If you think you can run faster then do it. Don't stop. Three laps like this, then we shift."

At hearing what he expected of her first thing, she very nearly complained about it but then simply just nodded and kept going. Little by little picking up the pace.

Elliot was quiet then, silent the whole way. Not dropping his fast pace once.

She kept up well or at least she thought she did continuing all the way around the lake.

After the three laps, Elliot slowed to a relaxed walk and then a complete stop. Having not even the shadow of a bead of sweat on his forehead.

Sophia come to a slow stop beside him without a word, she wasn't going to complain or question him right now. "Ready?" If she stopped now she might not keep going.

"You shift, go ahead. I'll give you a head start."

Damian shrugged. “You going to tell me what’s going on?”

Max walked happily with her even joining in on swinging their hands together

"What's going on? Nothing." Alessia frowned. "Why do you think that?"
