Garnet was sitting on the ground back where Nathan had left them, Ethan was asleep against her and she was keeping an eye on Blaze.

When Nathan came back, he looked calm. The only signs that he was obviously agitated, was that with every step he took, ice crackled underneath his feet.

Garnet stood when he came back and she bowed her head like she normally did to him. "Nathan, what hapened?" She held Ethan close to her.

"Delilah is to find a worthy partner by the end of the year or be forced into marriage with a prince of the Earth Kingdom." Nathan twitched a few times. "She left the meeting before the scheduled time and I wasn't permitted to follow her to see if she was alright."
