Jeremy just hugged her gently, not saying a word.

"Everyone's calling me soft."

Tatia sighed, lifting a hand to run through his hair, "Do you think you've gone soft?"

"A little," Klaus shrugged, "Not as much as they make out,"

"And do you think it's a good change?"

Klaus nodded subtly, "I've not gone too soft, so it isn't bad. They're saying it's an act though."

"Oh...well is it? Are you acting softer just to keep me around?"

"Maybe only a little, but for the most part no."

"Well then stop acting! I've seen you at your worst, and Im still here aren't I? You don't need to pretend around me."

"I said for the most part no," Klaus replied, rolling his eyes. "Bekah started because I said I didn't want to compel you."

"Compel me to do what?" She frowned

"To stop being stubborn and rest,"

"Well thanks for not compelling me then, I guess."

"I don't like compelling you," Klaus shrugged.

Jeremy rested his head on hers gently.

"You've done it before?!" She asked, sounding rather annoyed. "When?!"

"A while back," Klaus shrugged, "Whilst we went after one of the Salvatlores, I think. I don't actually remember. It was something to do with Elijah anyway."

"Huh." Tatia made a frustrated noise, her tone angry when she spoke. "I cant believe you did that."

"It was to make you stay put, so you woudn't get hurt. I didn't enjoy doing it."

"You still did it though." She pointed out, her tone still rather annoyed. "What else have you compelled me to do that I don't know about?"

"Nothing, Tat, that's it."

"And how am I supposed to know you're telling the truth?"

"Because if I wasn't then I would of compelled you now to rest,"

Tatia remained quiet, taming her expression into a calm one, though she was still silently seething.

Klaus watched her silently.
