Katya nodded and left the room, Raine entering a few minutes later. She had a bruise in her cheek and was wearing a medical boot on her right leg. She frowned at the sight of Liara. "She gonna be okay? My mom said she was pretty bad."

"Well, I'm going to get completely plastered. Feel like joining me?"

"She'll survive. What happened to you?" Jace slowly pushed himself off his knees to stand, approaching her and automatically reaching out to take one of her hands in both of his own.

Raine chuckled, "Told Dom a little home truths about his girlfriend that he didn't like, so he lashed out. Didn't expect me to fight back though. He's still down at the hospital in the burns unit getting his back sorted out. Asshole's lucky I didn't go for his face."

"I don't see why not."

"Yikes." Jace lifted a hand to brush his fingers against her cheek, following the bruise. It disappeared under his fingertips. "Feel better? Would you like me to do your foot? What happened there?" He was rubbing his thumb over her hand where he was holding it and, if she focused, she'd be able to realise that he was trembling very faintly.

Raine nodded, "Yeah, and I think it's a stress fracture or something, wasn't really paying attention." Raine murmured. "No need for you to heal that, it'll be fine in a few weeks on it's own, and I think you're worn out enough."

"Cool. I bought some stuff the other day when you weren't here, turns out my account is still active. If my parents track us here, sorry."

"Not surprised. Body's been automatically healing me for about four hours straight now. Probably lost a stone in weight from it all. Trying to bring all the functions back online. If there's too much damage in one place my body'll cut off healing to minor areas to bring everything important up to speed. I can't remember how many times I was shot to be honest." Jace's hand tightened briefly, if a little weakly, on hers. "Can still heal it for you."

"It's fine Jace, nothing major. Don't worry about me,"

"Don't worry about it...What did you buy?"

"I want to worry about you. I want to ground myself or focus on something different before I have some sort of catastrophic breakdown." His faint shaking had increased to full body trembling every couple of seconds.

"Everything I legally could. Gin, whiskey, rum, vodka, alcopops, beer, cider, wine, ale. Something fruity. Baileys as well."

Raine sighed, resting a hand on the side of his face. "Just relax a little Jace,"

"Alright then."

"I can't right now. Too much adrenalin. Liara might wake up. I'm hungry as well and - " Jace was visibly startled as his legs suddenly buckled and he collapsed onto the floor on his knees.

"Jace!" Raine dropped down into a crouch - as much as she could - soon after he went down. "Are you okay?"

"You have to be twenty one to legally buy alcohol here, I just make the cashier not want to ask for ID."

"I'm fine. I think my body's just a little...might have found my limit." He laughed weakly, shifting his weight so he was sat cross legged, shaking hands folded in his lap.

"I could pass as 21." He shrugged. "So when we run out I can get more."

Raine shifted so she was sat across from him, a little way away because she couldn't cross her legs. "How you feeling?"

"Can you even get drunk?"

"Exhausted, now that I think about it. Really tired."

"You've overworked yourself, far too much."

((Sorry for poofing by the way. I had a doctor's appointment))

"It's never happened before." Jace sounded confused. "I can't stop shaking either. I'm not too sure what's happening."

((It's okay))

"You healed Liara when you were also healing yourself. You've overworked yourself."

"Am I in shock, is that what this is?" Jace gripped onto his shirt. "I can't stop shaking," he repeated, sounding bewildered.

((Been getting a lot of pain recently. Actually had to borrow the school's wheelchair yesterday it was so bad.))

"Nope."

Raine took both his hands with each of her own, "Just relax a little,"

"So what, you're going to sit there and watch me get increasingly drunk with each glass of whatever I have?"

"I'm trying to, but it doesn't seem to want to happen." Jace held her hands in return, as tightly as he dared.
