"Elijah, at least leave the room." Damon told him.

"You knew what it'd be like for her, Tatia, she will get used to it. Stop being so overprotective. If your overprotective then she wont be able to handle it when she goes off on her own one day."


Falin hid her face in Damon's neck.

"I'm supposed to be overprotective, it's in my job description as mom."

Elijah rolled his eyes and left.

"Not to the point your not preparing her for the future. She wont be able to handle it when she goes off on her own if we shield from her now."

Falin let out a quiet sigh of relief when he left, whispering, "M'sorry.. I don't trust him anymore... He scares me."

"She needs shielding, she can't protect herself!"

"We're protecting her from as much as we can, but you cant over do it and you know it Tatia. Stop treating her like she's still a baby, it'll just end up hurting her more in the long-run."

"Since when did you become the parenting expert?"

"It's ok, Jeremy is scared of him to."

"It isn't that it's common sense. Over-protect her now, when she wants to go off on her own and her safety blanket a.k.a us isn't there immediately she wont cope and exactly what you're scared of will happen. Your so argumentative, Tat, you haven't even been back twenty four hours and your starting an argument."

Falin just sighed shakily.

"Would you rather I just keep quiet and have no input on anything?"

He held her close.

"I'd rather you say your opinion, I say mine and you stop being so stubborn and admit there is more sense in what I'm saying then what your saying."

Falin stayed close to him, looking up when Kaida knocked on the front door.

"Ah yes, I forgot you were always right."

Damon walked over to the door after letting go of her and he answered it. "Um hello?"

"With this I am."

"Is Elijah here?" Kaida asked.

"Yeah, course, like I said. Always right."

"Yeah, he just went upstairs for his shower, you are ok to wait for him down here if you want."

"Leave again if you have an issue with me knowing whats best for our daughter more then you." Klaus replied simply .

Kaida nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay with waiting." she confirmed.

"Shut th door after you then." He walked back over to Falin.

Tatia looked a little hurt when he said that, walking into the living room and sitting on the couch.

Kaida nodded, taking a step inside and closing the door behind herself. Waiting just in the hallway.

Klaus headed up the stairs.

Vanessa was in her room, watching a cartoon dvd on her tv.

"Elijah's new friend." He looked at the stairs. "Hey Elijah, your girlfriend is here!" He called up. He looked at her. "You can come in and sit down you know."

"Not his girlfriend." Kaida grumbled quietly, "Don't make assumptions. I'm fine waiting here."
