The Vampire Diaries

Klaus quickly grabbed Violet and slammed her violently against the wall. "Finn, Take your daughter out of my sight before I kill her!" he snapped at him.

Finn quickly shoved Klaus away from Violet and grabbed her by the collar to lead her from the house. He bowed his head in apology to Tatia who was standing against the wall, shaking a little.

Sage followed Finn and Violet out without a word.

Klaus watched them to before taking a step closer to Tatia and sliding his arms around her.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed Violet?!" Finn sighed as he let her go, pushing her forward. "You're acting like a child!"

"Well you can either have me acting like an adult, where I don't have to do as you say or listen to you, or you can have me as a child where I act like this and you think you have some sort of authority over me!"

Tatia leaned into him, hiding her face as she tried to relax against him.

"Both of those options just seem more like a teenage rebellious attitude then an adult or child attitude." Sage finally spoke up, standing beside Finn.

Klaus tangled his fingers in her hair without a word.

"And who the hell do you think you are? My mother?! No, you're just some replacement that my dad found a hundred years later. But at least he had the balls to turn you, he couldn't even turn me himself!" Violet laughed without humor at that. "Asks me to act like his daughter but he couldn't even pluck up the courage to save me from dying himself."

"I k-know she's your family an' all, b-but I really hate h-her." Tatia muttered quietly.

"I wasn't trying to be," She replied, before shaking her head in the negative, "Finn probably had a perfectly liable reason for not wanting to turn you."

"I know," He whispered with a quiet sigh.

Tatia just leaned against him, eventually sliding her arms around his waist in an effort to get closer.

"Like what? Hoping that maybe we'd actually die so he didn't have to hide his shame anymore?" Violet raised her eyebrows in question.

"Why can't you just accept my apologies for the mistakes I made and move on like your brother has?" Finn sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"Because I'm not him! You could take his ring off and throw him into the sun and he'd still love you for whatever reason!"

Sage just shook her head in the negative, "You can hold a grudge for a long time, can't you? This was ages ago, Violet, can't you see your upsetting people?"

"Next time she sets foot in this house, I'll kill her." He promised.

"You've been back in Finn's life for all of five minutes, and you've spent the past god knows how long sleeping with anything that breathes, so don't think you have any say in any of this what so ever!" Violet hissed at her.

Tatia nodded, tilting her head up a little to watch him.

Sage just let out a bored sigh and went quiet, glancing to Finn.

Klaus leant down to kiss her forehead lightly.

Tatia closed her eyes briefly, smiling a little.

Finn sighed, then threw his arms up in the air in exasperation. "I'm done. I've tried with you for Malvolio's sake but there's no point anymore. If you're not happy then just go."

Sage frowned at that and moved her gaze back to Violet to see her reaction.

"I think we should get some sleep whilst Nessa is,"

"Fine." Violet shrugged, "You go home and tell Mal that you told me to go, see his reaction. I mean at this rate he'll probably be happy because then the three of you can play happy families without me!" she gave a small, fake smile before turning and walking away.

"What if she decided to come back?" Tatia whispered, the idea obviously scaring her a little.

"You think she'll come back?" Sage asked Finn after watching Violet leave, glancing to him.

"Come on, love, we need sleep." Klaus sighed.

"Only if she's asked by Malvolio, and I doubt he will ask."

Tatia shook her head and pressed herself closer against Klaus, but then after stifling a yawn a few seconds later she finally gave up with a sigh and just nodded in agreement.

Klaus headed up the stairs and to their room without another word.

Sage just gave a nod, "She was being unreasonable, it was her choice to walk away, you didn't force her. Malvolio can't be mad at you for it."

"He'll be mad at me for suggestin it, for giving her the option."

Tatia followed him up closely.

"Maybe, but I doubt it'll last long." She assured gently.

Klaus just laid down on the bed and rested his head on the pillow, not bothering to take any of his clothes off.

"She won't come back for me, it'll only be if she thinks Malvolio needs her. So It may well be a while."

Tatia laid down beside him, curling herself up as much as she could against him.

"Mm," Sage hummed quietly, asking, "Are you okay?"

Klaus slid an arm around her.

"No, not really. I hate conflict and I'm dreading the consequences of this argument."

"Thanks for defending me against her Nik, even though she's your family an' that." Tatia whispered.

"I know, maybe you should get telling Malvolio out of the way now," She suggested, "At least you won't be worrying about it then."

"It's okay," Klaus replied quietly, "Get some sleep, Tat,"

"I'm still trying to work out how to do that,"

Tatia nodded and closed her eyes. It becoming clear shed fallen asleep when she relaxed greatly against Klaus.

"Keep it short, just say she left. Say she wasn't happy and you told her if she wasn't happy staying here she could leave if she wanted, and she did."

Once she was asleep, Klaus fell asleep too.
