Trinity: Sorry! giggles and hugs him

Around a thousand years ago [or whatever, back in the Viking days of Mystic Falls] Tatia was stood in front of a wooden hut, defiantly ignoring the man - her husband - loudly shouting at her. She hada large red mark across her cheek and a small girl of around four cowered behind her mother as her father shouted. Once the man had finished and stormed off, Kol approached Tatia cautiously, and before he could speak, she waved him away. "He already thinks I'm seeing two of your brothers Kol, I wouldn't want him thinking the same of you."

"I-" Kol started with a frown.

"I know, you're only trying to help, but trust me you're just making everything worse." She said quietly, before picking her daughter up and walking in the opposite direction that her husband had gone in.

Kol narrowed his eyes at her and walked to his sister, who was currently sewing a patch into some clothing outside their own hut, and sitting down with a huff. "Never can do anything right around here."

"Oh stop being pathetic Kol."

"Tried to help Tatia and she practically told me to piss off." Kol sighed, as he ground his boots into the dirt. "I can't win with the girls around here. I try to be nice and they tell me to go away, I'm an arse to them and they tell me to be nicer!"

"Not exactly the kind of girl you want to be impressing anyway." Rebekah reminded him, looking over her shoulder to check for her parents as she spoke.

"You need to leave her alone too, as does Elijah." Rebekah warned him as she looked up to face him. "She's far too much trouble to be worth it."

"I don't see you scolding Finn when hes doing the same as Elijah and Niklaus. Technically it's even worse because the girl he's messing around with has two kids." Kol pointed out quietly, then flinched when Rebekah threw a stone at him. "Don't give me that look, it's not exactly like he's sneaky about it when father and her husband aren't around is he?"

Trinity: Stopping in front of you like that.

"But she will do, once that husband of hers finds out what's going on. He could easily take you in a fight, and when you walk back home with your tail in between your legs like a wounded animal father will work out whats been going on and then he'll beat you again. He's already starting to suspect it any way."

"He has at least twenty pounds and a good five inches on you Niklaus. Don't be so stupid." Rebekah rolled her eyes. "Anyway, you're in luck. He leaves on another raid today, so you'll have a few months to mess around with that silly wench of his."

Kol looked up and smirked at that. "Ah yes. Men going on a raid, lots of lonely girls left behind without overbearing fathers." he snickered. "Maybe you'll actually be able to make friends with some of them Rebekah."

"Yes she is, for entertaining both you and Elijah." Rebekah retorted.

"Maybe if she made friends then she wouldn't be so grumpy." Kol laughed, ducking as Rebekah swung for him and stood up, heading inside.

"How the hell do you do it?" Kol sighed. "You managed to get a girl, and you're no better than me personality wise, and lets face it, I'm the looker in this family." he frowned, then muttered, "Only wanted to help her clean her cheek off and she waved me away like I was suggesting mass suicide."

"I'm sure I could take your head off with my sword if I tried hard enough." Kol said petulantly, before adding. "Well that damsel isn't going to be much to look at if she keeps getting hit the way she did this morning. Maybe if you were that good with swords you'd have killed her husband and be riding off into the sunset with her by now."

"Well better act fast or you'll have to wait a couple of months. But that's probably what you want since you're actually too much of a coward to do it."

"Sure," Kol said skeptically, before heading inside after his sister.

It was silent inside, indicating Rebekah was giving everyone the silent treatment. A few minutes later Kol headed back out.

"Watch the boats leave, take fathers boots down because he forgot to take them earlier, and he'll be annoyed with me once he gets back." Kol told him, holding up a bag that he was carrying to show Klaus before heading off towards the beach.
