"What'll they do to Kol and Rebekah if you don't hand yourself over?" Astrid asked, face paling slightly as he muscled tensed, grabbing onto the door frame. "What'll they do to you if you hand yourself over?"

Klaus frowned.

Falin felt Damon tense beside her and moved her hand to rest over his, "What's wrong?" she asked him quietly with a frown.

Jeremy frowned at hearing the growl, sliding his arms around Charlotte and whispering, "Lets go."

Kaida didn't notice, in a light sleep.

Feeling Elijah tense beneath her head, Kaida mumbled a quiet, sleepy, "What's wrong, handsome?" though just as she finished asking she was asleep again.

Falin frowned and got to her feet, "Yeah, lets go."

Jeremy got to his feet too

"Kill Kol and Rebekah if I don't turn myself in. Chances are when I turn myself in they'll kill me or coffin me."

"So either way someone dies. So there making Klaus choose who he loses?" Astrid replied with a deep frown, just shaking her head and asking, "Who is it that's going to die then?" quietly.


Klaus just sighed deeply.

Jeremy gave a nod of agreement.

"Me." Tatia replied simply, avoiding Klaus' gaze as she spoke. "It has to be me. It's not fair to Kol and Rebekah for me to expect them to die for me."

"No!" Klaus and Astrid replied at the same time, both shaking their heads.

"That's not fair, none of this is fair!" Astrid whined, "Can't we kidnap a doppleganger or something? Make them go in?"

"That's a good idea actually." Klaus nodded.

Jeremy offered Charlotte a hand up, "Lets go,"

"They're not stupid, one detection spell and they'll know." Tatia pointed out, before using Klaus' phone to call Rebekahs. "Where do you want me to meet you?" she asked brusquely as the phone was answered.

"Tatia." Klaus replied sharply, "We can think of something, you don't have to."

Astrid just gulped and shook her head, sitting down where she was in the middle of the doorway so her mother couldn't get out.

Jeremy headed back towards the house.

"Come on Charlotte,"

"Why? Come on they'll catch up."

Tatia nodded and replied with a "I'll be there soon." to whoever was on tr end of the phone before hanging up. "You think I want to do this? To die and leave you all behind?" her voice broke a little. "Of course I don't, but I'd I don't han myself over then Kol and Rebekah die; and we both know there's no way out of it!"

"No, no, no, no, no. No." Astrid repeated, pulling her knees to her chest and hugging them, closing her eyes tightly to hold back tears.

"Where did they tell you to meet?" Klaus asked quietly, "I'm coming.."

"The old witch house... Don't pull any stunts Nik, there's the spirits of hundreds of dead witches in there, I don't want anything to happen to you too." she said softly, before shifting to pull Astrid up and hugging her tightly. "I'll always be watching you, Vampires go to the other side right? I'll always be there." she murmured as she smoothed down her hair.

"I'll stay here and look after Nessa..." Astrid grumbled quietly, biting her tongue to stop herself from crying and just hugging Tatia back tightly.

Klaus watched quietly with a frown before glancing out of the window.

"I love you so so much Astrid. And I'm sorry I couldn't be a better mum to you." she whispered, voice starting to break as silent tears fell down her face. She kissed the top of Astrids head before pulling away and heading into Vanessa's bedroom.

Astrid just let her arms drop to her sides and watched the ground, slowly sitting down again. Leaning back against the wall and trembling lightly.

Klaus sighed and followed Tatia into Vanessa's room, watching quietly from the doorway.

"So why the hell did you say to wait?!" Jeremy snapped before grabbing the wolf by the scruf and throwing it into a tree.

Jeremy ran alongside her.
