"Try control your temper then." Maria put an arm out to stop him walking then as a house came in to view. "Do you have any jewellery on? Ring, chain?"

[Fruit-Pastilles]

"Nope. I tended to lose them because I can't feel if they're there or not."

Maria sighed at that, shaking her wrist out a little and pulling her sleeve up to reveal a bracelet. "You're gonna have to wear this then, keep it hidden under your sleeves or something." she muttered as she unclasped it. She held it in her hand and closed her eyes, mumbling a few words in latin over it before motioning for him to hold his wrist out.

"What is it supposed to do? Because I'm not agreeable with putting foreign items on my person."

[Phoenix]

"The glamour is attached to the bracelet. I can't do it without a fixed object. You put the bracelet on, and poof, instant make over."

"Better make sure it's tight. I can never tell if it's there or not and I won't know if I've snagged it on a corner." Jace held his arm out.

[Phoenix]

Maria fastened the bracelet around his wrist, making it as tight as it could go. She then stepped back and squinted her eyes a little at him. "I can see through the cracks, but thats because I'm expecting you there." she mused, but overall seemed pleased with her work.

[Fruit-Pastilles]

"Anything to make it stronger? Or should I just leave it as it is?" Jace paused for a moment. "Will magic affect it in anyway?"

[Phoenix]

"Just leave it, and not as far as I'm aware."

[Fruit-Pastilles]

"So long time exposure won't do anything to it? Because so long as it touches me, it's exposed to magic. I can't keep it all on the inside; not sure if you noticed when you touched me to put the bracelet on."

[Phoenix]

"Just as long as it's not broken, it'll remain intact."

[Fruit-Pastilles]

Jace nodded quietly, moving to rub his thumb against the metal of the bracelet.

[Phoenix]

Maria watched him for a few moments before she spoke again. "Karl's married, so if anyone's observant enough to ask you've taken your ring of because you don't want to loose it. He's a vet, specialising in familiars, which is why my dad wants him so much, but Karl turns him down every time because he thinks my dads a bastard. His mother taught us English when we were kids and that's how him and Ray got close…" she trailed off then, trying to think of anything else he may need to know.

Jace nodded quietly as she spoke, still fiddling with the bracelet, yanking his hand back after a moment so as not to draw attention to it.

[Phoenix]

((I know, lol, how's everything been?))

"I'm also pretty sure you're having an affair with my twin, last time I suggested it though she nearly broke my arm, so I'm not gonna bring it up again. Other than that I can't think of anything else."

[Fruit-Pastilles]

((Busy lmao. Just glad that the holidays are finally here. How've you been?))

"I won't talk to her unless she approaches me. She makes a move and I might hurt her. Is she there?"

[Phoenix]

"Probably if my dads there, she's the psychic. He keeps her around so he can see if anyone plans to attack him. She won't know about this though, she's never been able to see anything I plan on doing..."

((I've been good thanks, I finished school around six weeks ago officially, but two months ago for study leave, so Im pretty bored by now lmao.))

"I don't know how well she'd see me either. To some, I'm blurry. Crystal clear to others." Jace absently scratched his wrist next to the bracelet.

((I only had study leave until my exams were done, then I had to go back for the beginning of A2, work experience and Welsh Bacc))

[Phoenix]

((Ah we dropped the English Bacc ages ago, in my school at least, they thought it was too much pressure and no unis or colleges were acknowledging it))

"You have high concentrations of power, she probably finds it difficult to see you without frazzling her mind." Maria mused, before slapping his hand away gently. "That thing is old, don't play near it or you'll break it. It's fragile." She snipped, before walking again.

((It's awful. Nobody likes it but they keep us doing it. By the way, I'm not going to be on until after the 10th after this - going on holiday to a log cabin in Darbyshire with no internet.))

"It itches," Jace replied, instead moving to scratch the inside of his elbow. "It's abrasive too."

[Phoenix]

"Suck it up." Maria rolled her eyes.

((I'm going away on the sixth and won't be back until the thirteenth anyway :') ))

"How much trouble would you be in were you found helping me?"

[Phoenix]

"A lot." Maria replied honestly, though she didn't seem all that bothered about it. "Why?"

"If we get found out, act surprised. I don't mind taking the fall." Jace rubbed his thumb against his wrist, next to the bracelet.

[Phoenix]

"I wont be able to." Maria shook her head, gesturing towards the bracelet. "Magic like that leaves a personal stamp, it's traceable if the right person manages to do it. Kinda like a bar code that you cant get rid of. If my dad suspects I had any part in it he'll have the magic traced back to me within a few days."
