Hunters and the Hunted

She let one of her hands gently move down his chest, all the tine keeping the kiss.

Death's hand tightened slightly on the back of her neck as he pulled gently to tip her head back so he could deepen the kiss.

She moved to make iy easier for him and she matched her kiss to his as he hand moved to untuck his shirt.

Death's hand at her waist gently moved to slip just under her shirt to rest on the skin of her side, sliding his hand up from her neck and tangling it into her hair.

Jess gently rested her hands on his chest as she kissed him.

After a few more moments, Death reluctantly pulled away from the kiss, though his hand remained on her side, resting against her skin. "I should take you to your home now."

"It can wait you know." She gently kissed his neck.

"I just assumed you wouldn't want to stay here any longer than you had to."

"Death its not like I have anything to rush home for."

"I don't know how comfortable you are in my presence yet."

"Death, you know that im comfortable around you." She gently moved a hand down one side of his face.

"Approximately one hundred and six hours ago, you both hated and were frightened of me." Death silently leaned his head towards her hand, as if he didn't realise the movement.

"And one hundred and one hours ago, we both fell in love with each other." She kept brushing her hand down his face.

"Does my age or nature not alarm you? Or that I've been watching you since the day of your birth?" Death lifted his hand to press hers to his cheek.

She meant her head into his hand. "No it doesn't."

Death kissed her forehead. "So long as my time isn't taken elsewhere, how would you like to spend this day?"

"I don't mind."

"Were this a normal day I would be doing no more than waiting for pressing matters that I would have to attend to. Anything that will happen to day would be your choice."

"Can we go ice skating?"

"If that is what you want to do."

She nodded. "So its just us two please, or would that be asking too much."

"Give me an hour and arrangements will be made. You can spend time in the library, if you so wish, or look around the building. If you get lost, there are many Angels who can guide you." Death paused for a moment before unclasping a thin bracelet from his wrist that may have been overlooked before and held his hand towards her, silently asking for her hand.

She carefully held her hand out to him.

Death slid the bracelet onto her wrist and clasped it shut. As soon as it was shut, the clasp disappeared and he murmured, "I'll take it off when you don't need it. It'll let you go anywhere you want within the building. You won't be approached or questioned by anyone here."

She nodded. "Its pretty." She smiled.
