"No I can't, and what he did just proves Astrid right, I went out looking because she said it again and I really thought I'd proved her wrong, and now I haven't and she was right all along and I-" Vanessa cut off then as she burst into tears against her fathers shoulder. "And I couldn't push him away because I was so scared I'd hurt him and I actually would kill someone this time and then the next thing I know I'm on the floor in the leaves and he snaps my neck again and he kept doing it over and over." she trembled.

Alec: smiled back before eating his food Fleur?

Astrid relaxed a little bit when he said that she wouldn't have to change, moving her head to rest on his shoulder after a moment. Moving her hand down to interlock her fingers with his and just watching their hands quietly.

Klaus let out a deep sigh and smoothed her hair down soothingly, whispering, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to rescue you, Nessa. But you're safe now, okay? That doesn't prove what she told up as right at all, stop trying to prove her wrong, you don't have to because one day that'll happen all on it's own when you find the right person."

"Mm?" She hummed as she began to eat.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop it happening, I'd give anything to go back and change that, but I swear I'll make it up to you."

Vanessa just cried into her fathers shoulder, not saying anything when Tatia came and sat next to her and wrapped her arms around her. Vanessa just cried in between both her parents despite them trying to soothe her.

Astrid gave a sad laugh then, whispering, "Don't be silly, pretty boy… M'over reacting really... Aren't I? Mean everyone else kills people all the time... And it's not like I'll be stuck as a wolf having to go through shifts or even have to have some stupid site bond.. Ignore me turning into an emotional wreck.. Just feel guilty is all. It's my fault."

Klaus just sighed and smoothed Vanessa's hair down gently.

"It's not your fault, your sister chose to go out there and do that. Not your fault at all. At all." Kol shook his head.

"Can I go to bed? I'm tired and I think I've still got some vervain in me." Vanessa asked after a while, reaching her head up from Klaus.

"I made her leave in the first place..." Astrid whispered quietly, lifting their hands up so she could kiss his knuckles gently.

"I think you should go speak to Astrid before you do, Ness," Klaus told her quietly, "She's the one that rescued you, she ended up triggering the curse doing it."

"I can't, she hates me, she's going to hate me even more after this." Vanessa frowned and looked at the floor as she pulled away from her parents.

"At least go thank her Vanessa. She's just sacrificed being a human for you."

Kol sighed softly and kissed her head.

"Least it's not like a vampire kind of turning, right? Can still eat my bacon." Astrid whispered after a few moments of silence, trying to be light-heartened.

Klaus was quiet, Tatia having said exactly what he would of.

"You'll have to drink Nik's blood, and then I'll snap your neck - kindest, quickest way to do it. Then when you wake up you have to drink your mothers blood that we have stored, and then you'll be a Hybrid. Nik'll break the sire bond so you'll be just like you were before, with a blood craving and better senses."

Vanessa sighed before heading upstairs.

Tatia watched her go with a frown as she leaned into Klaus.

Alec: Um... What ever happened to your family?

Astrid tensed when he said he'd have to snap her neck, shuddering a little bit and letting go of his hands so she could rest her own hands on the back of her neck. Whispering quietly, "Will I have to drink blood when I'm a hybrid? Or is that an optional thing?"

"I need to search for that vial of your blood,"

"That's an awfully thing to suddenly wonder about." Fleur mused with a quiet laugh.

"Yeah, you will. Not as much as the rest of us need to, you can balance your diet between food and blood, whereas food's optional for us."

Tatia nodded. "Can you do it a little later please?" she grimaced. "Don't worry, I'm just not feeling too good right now." she told him quietly.

Vanessa knocked quietly on Astrid's door.

Astrid just nodded quietly in response to what Kol said before sighing and muttering, "Come on in.."

Klaus frowned and nodded, sliding his arms around her and kissing the side of her head gently.

"Uh Astrid," Vanessa started, not really knowing how to carry on for a few moments. "Um, thanks for rescuing me, I didn't deserve it and I really appreciate it, and I'm sorry you triggered your curse because of me.

"I don't know if it's because I'm pregnant or because of the thought of what could've happened to my girls today. I could've lost them both..." Tatia whispered quietly. "But I feel horrendous now, compared to how I felt earlier..."

Alec: I've actually wondered about it for some time now but never asked...

"It's okay...m'sorry for being horrible to you." Astrid told her quietly, adding after a few moments, "Kol proposed to me yesterday, by the way. I said yes."

Klaus just gave a small nod, "Just relax and keep reminding yourself that they're fine. All of them, the two little ones we haven't met yet too." he td her.

"Mm," She hummed quietly, "I'll tell you when it's desert, yeah?"

Vanessa just nodded at what her sister said, mumbling her own apology for being mean, her eyes darting down to Astrid's hand where she saw the ring before glancing up and offering a small smile. "Congratulations, of course you know you'll be happy together, so I won't say that or it'd be pointless and I'd be a cliché" she said with a quiet laugh, before leaving the room and heading to her own.

"Yeah, yeah, you're right. I need to stay calm so we meet them, everyone's okay." Tatia nodded as she leaned into him, trying to quieten a groan that slipped out as she shifted, her arms wrapping around herself.

Alec: chuckled lightly but nodded his head Alright

Klaus just brushed his fingers through her hair soothingly, whispering softy, "Everything's fine, just relax. It'll all be okay..."

Astrid just smiled and watched her go before glancing up at Kol and whispering, "Thanks for being here for me... I feel like I overreacted a bit. I mean, loads if peor have killed people and they don't break down and cry over it."

Fleur smiled.

Alec: Love you he whispered across the table letting his fingers graze hers lightly

Fleur smiled brightly, whispering softly, "Love you too,"

Alec: grinned instantly at her

She returned it.

Alec: let the waitress take their dishes and ordered dessert
