The Vampire Diaries

Vanessa moved to sit back with Nate on the couch, smiling a little at Hope. Hope simply grinned that he knew who she was before clambering back off of him and going back to sit on Rebekah's knee.

Kol watched Astrid with a fond smile that hadn't been wiped from his face since she came back.

Tatia kissed his cheek, "I'll be fine, don't worry." she assured. "I'm not gonna drop down any time soon, I'll rest up later."

Nate wrapped his arms around Vanessa and kissed the side of her head.

When Mia went and sat down again, Astrid stood up, rested her hand on the side of Kol's face and pressed a deep kiss to his lips.

"Feel okay now?" Rebekah asked Mia, wrapping an arm around her.

Vanessa smiled, tucking her head under his chin and gently grasping his hand. "You okay Nate?"

Kol kissed her back, tangling his fingers in her hair to bring her closer. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop it Astrid, I'm so sorry." he whispered.

Tatia watched them all quietly, "We doing this now? Or shall we tell them all in groups?" she whispered.

"Which place would you want to visit most?"

Mia nodded with a bright smile, hugging her aunt gently.

"Don't you worry about that now, pretty boy, there was nothing you could of done." She whispered softly against his lips, "I'm here now, won't leave you ever again, I promise. M'sorry I wasn't strong enough to stop the hunter killing me, sorry you found me when it was too late. Broke my heart when you cried."

Nate nodded, "It's a full moon soon… A bit nervous with my first shift here." he whispered.

"Lets tell them now,"

Kol just held her quietly, kissing the top of her head.
 
"If you're willing to be a hybrid, I could sort that out with you. I know it's a big deal and everything, but it'll stop you shifting ever ever again." Vanessa told him, before turning her face and frowning. "Is there a human in the room?"

"Yeah, your boyfriend." Rebekah rolled her eyes as she hugged Mia back with a small smile.

"I know the difference between wolf and human," Vanessa gave her a pointed look.

"It's me." Tatia said quietly. "I'm the human... to turn Astrid back I had to give up my vampirism for nine months..."

"Why nine months?" Rebekah frowned, "Is this the price you were talking about?"

"I need you to know that this wasn't supposed to be like this." Tatia explained cautiously, "It was planned, but not for so soon, and it was planned before all of this happened." she continued quietly, before sighing and coming out with it; "I'm pregnant, and I'm human until the baby's born."

Astrid rested her head on Kol's shoulder, frowning a little bit at her mothers words and just tangling her fingers in Kol's hair, whispering a quiet, "Congratulations," to her mother and Klaus.

Klaus rested his head on Tatia's gently, watching everyone's reaction.

"But that means you could die… if your human." Mia frowned at her mother.

"Which place would you want to visit most?"

"No Mia, I won't die, I'll be safe, I promise you," Tatia assured.

Vanessa moved a hand to her own stomach with a brief pained expression as she looked back towards her mother. "Yeah, congrats." she muttered, before getting up, grabbing her bag from the side and rushing out of the house.

Nate frowned deeply, got to his feet and followed Vanessa quietly, "Wait up, angel," he called after her.

Mia just gave her mother a doubtful look and frowned when Vanessa left, just letting out a deep sigh and glancing around the room quietly.

"Want to head home now?" Astrid asked Kol quietly, brushing her fingers through his hair affectionately.

Klaus sighed deeply when Vanessa left

Vanessa slowed down so he could follow her, and she eventually stopped walking when she got to the falls. Sitting down and pulling up the grass beneath her hands.

Tatia frowned too, making a small move to go after her before Nate did. "I'll be okay Mia, don't worry." she assured once again, glancing back to Mia.

Kol nodded, "If it's what you want."

Nate himself down beside her and slid an arm around her waist gently, just pulling her against him in a hug without saying a word.

Mia just got to her feet and headed up to her room.

"Mm, go home and we can go to bed." She whispered, running her hand down his chest slowly with a small smirk to hint to him what she meant.

Kol just laughed a little at that, kissing the top of her head and nodding. He pulled away to briefly go and hug Tatia, whispering a small thank you before heading out of the house, pulling Astrid behind him.

Tatia sighed as she watched Mia go up.

"It hurts." Vanessa whispered, "Knowing I'm gonna have to see that."

"I know, angel," Nate whispered, oulling her onto his lap and just holding her as close as he could, trailing his fingers up and down her arm soothingly.

Astrid grinned and called a thank you to her mother over her shoulder as she followed Kol out of the door.

Vanessa just leaned against him, burying her face in his chest and closing her eyes.

Kol wrapped an arm around her happily.

"Well, that went better than I expected." Tatia mumbled quietly, "I was expecting name calling at the least."

"I think everyone was too happy Astrid's back to start an argument." Klaus replied, kissing the top of her head gently.

Nate held her close, not saying a word and just comforting her silently.

Astrid leant into him happily as she walked, lifting her gaze up and just watching him affectionately.

"If my moms human already then that makes turning you into a hybrid that much easier... If you want to be one that is." Vanessa whispered after a few minutes.

Tatia nodded with a small smile herself. "I'm so glad she's back, I thought I'd lost her." she said quietly.

Kol leaned over and kissed her cheek. "I'm so glad you're back sweetheart."

"I knew Aria'd be able to bring her back," Klaus replied confidently, "Glad we didn't have to wait too long though, everyone was a mess really."

"I'm glad I'm back too," She whispered, kissing him on the lips softly in return, "Other Side is horrible, absolutely horrible."'

"I… I don't know. Tell me more about it?"

Tatia nodded, ducking her head a little as she slipped her arms around him.

"I know, and you don't ever have to go back there again."

"You don't have to shift ever again if you don't want, but if you want to you can do it whenever you'd like. You'd be stronger, faster, immortal... You'd have better senses; hearing, vision... touch." she lightly touched his cheek to exaggerate her point. "Obviously, there's downsides. Both vervain and wolfs bane would weaken you. But only decapitation, removal of the heart or staking of the heart would kill you. You'd have to drink blood, and it seems like a downside, but it's one of the best feelings in the world when you just let yourself get lost in a feeding."

Klaus kissed the top of her head gently.

Astrid just gave a small nod in response and paused just outside their home to hug him tightly, whispering, "It feels like it's been much longer then a week and a half."

Nate just sighed softly as he listened, leaning his head a little bit at her touch and whispering, "I'll think about it,"

Kol nodded, "Tell me about it, I feel like it's been a century."

"You won't be able to age if you become a hybrid. And if you ever break up with me and find somebody else, you won't be able to have kids with them either, not unless you get a witch to help you." Vanessa told him a little wearily. "But it'll save you the pain of shifting every full moon."

Tatia smiled and tilted her head up to kiss him properly.

"I'll think about it," He repeated quietly with a small sigh, "It's been a big enough change moving here, lets just get used to one thing at a time."

She nodded and just tightened her arms around him a little bit, whispering with a quiet laugh, "M'lucky to have such an amazing family, really? Mother giving up vampirism for me even though she's pregnant… I didn't think she'd risk it, or Klaus'd even let her."

Klaus kissed her back deeply.

"You mean a lot to us all Astrid..." Kol pointed out. "And I'm sure your mother would rather risk a baby she hasn't got yet than risk never seeing you again."

Tatia moved her hands to the side of his face.

"I'll be with you tomorrow night, don't worry."

Nate shook his head, "I'm not worried, just nervous, new area, don't really know what I'll do here, how I'll act." he explained quietly.

Klaus pulled her closer against him.

"Mm," Astrid hummed quietly, kissing him on the lips gently before heading into the house.

Kol followed behind her, smiling a little when he saw Olivia curled up on the couch, fast asleep with her head on the arm.

Tatia moved closer willingly. "Upstairs?" she whispered.

"Ah yeah, forgot you don't chain yourself up on the full moon like they do around here." Vanessa frowned.
