"Please, they haven't told me anything really. All they've ever said to me is 'What are you calling her?', 'you have to leave.' and 'Only the mother can see her whenever she wants'. As if I'm nothing to the kid." Nate muttered angrily.

Vanessa got up and moved to sit next to him, gently taking his free hand. "You're her daddy and she's going to think the absolute world of you." she whispered. "I'll sort it so you have the same rights as I do, so you can be in here with her."

"Dad, will you go find a bloodbag from somewhere?" Vanessa said quietly, knowing her parents would be able to hear her. "They're feeding her milk, it's not what she needs." she added afterwards, so nobody in particular.

Vanessa waited quietly, pressing her forehead against the glass. "First of her kind, a hybrid with hybrid parents." she mused quietly. "Like me and my dad..."

Nate just watched his daughter intently, not even looking up when Klaus came into the room and handed Vanessa a blood bag.

Vanessa murmured a small thank you and got up. Checking that the nurse wasn't near by she quickly adjusted the the drip so that the baby was being given blood. Within a few minutes the baby perked up, her skin colour changing to a more healthy shade.

"That's the awkward thing with her being here and so little, they don't know what's right for her. Not really." Klaus mused as he watched.

"Well we'll give her as much blood as we can get to her, and hopefully she wont be in here as long as they think."
