"I get how upset she must be." Astrid nodded, "I'll pop over there in a day or two, talk to her and things. Bring her out shopping or something like that."

Tatia watched her go before gathering the cups and heading into the kitchen to wash them.

Astrid entered her home quietly then, "Kol?" she called gently.

Klaus was downstairs in his studio, painting.

Kol was sprawled out onto the sofa, empty beer bottles at the foot of the sofa.

"When did you get back?" Tatia asked him after a few minutes, leaning against the door.

Astrid walked into the kitchen and grabbed a blood bag out of the fridge, heading into the living room and handing it to him. "My mom said she'd look after the boys tonight and send them to school in the morning. She wants to spend time with them."

"Not too long ago, I didn't want to interrupt yours and Astrid's conversation."

"Ah," Tatia nodded in understanding. "How's Holly?"

Kol just shrugged a little at what she said. "Makes no odds to me really." he muttered as he took the bag and drank from it.

"Just thought you should know is all," She whispered, grabbing his empty beer cans and putting them into the bin before sitting down on the arm of the sofa quietly.

"Devastated, she's going through a cycle of crying herself into exhaustion and then falling asleep. Keeps saying Nate broke his promise about not dying for a while yet."

"Poor poor girl." Tatia whispered with a frown as she walked over to Klaus and slipped her arms around his waist. "How's Ness and Leon coping with it."

Kol paid her no mind, staring at the television.

"Ness is crying whenever Holly cries, or she wants to at least. Leon looks exhausted trying to comfort the both of them constantly."

"I'm going to call Ness later on, see when I can go over and spend some time with Holly. Nate's died and his family had the funeral already so she couldn't say bye to him properly." She told him.

"He's a good guy," Tatia hummed thoughtfully, "A very good guy."

"What're you gonna say to her? 'My dad was a dick and he's dead too, let's bond over that.'" Kol rolled his eyes. "I could say the same to her, she probably just wants her parents."

"No, I was going to bring her shopping, actually." Astrid muttered quietly, "Let her talk about whatever she wants to talk about."

"Mm," Klaus hummed. "Not good enough for Ness, but no one'll be good enough for her."

Tatia chuckled a little at that. "I think he's the best she's ever going to get, he's everything she needs... she said once this is all over and done with they're going to start trying for a baby together."

"Like clothes are going to make her feel any better."

Astrid just rolled her eyes and remained quiet then, glancing to the television without another word to him.

"She told me." Klaus nodded.

"M'going out." Kol said, staggering to his feet. "We have no more beer in."

Astrid frowned and caught his hand, "No more, stay here and sober up a bit before the boys get back from school." she told him.

"I don't mind, it's their choice and I'm fine with whatever makes Ness happy. What about you?"
