"No, you should tell me since it's your opinion." She replied sharply.

Aidan tensed a little bit at that, his eyes widening a little bit, "I knew a girl that called her bird Bloodwing, back when I was a kid…. What's your name?"

He moved and pulled his shirt off, showing her a long and ugly scar.

"My family loved the royals so when the Dagger attacked the Soul, dad researched everything about it."

"Kiya..." she replied quietly, keeping Bloodwing close to her side.

"So you got hurt, what does th- Wait, Cas done that huh?" She asked quietly.

Aidan wrinkled his nose at that, "Oh, never mind that. Excuse my nosiness. You're the girl from the Dagger, hm? The one everyone's been having this huge conversation about?"

"Yeah but that wasn't with a sword or any proper weapon."

"My dad abandoned us, as did my mum."

Kiya stared at him nervously and was startled when Bloodwing suddenly screeched, wings flapping and hitting Kiya gently in the face.

"We left our parents. Cause they kinda turned into dicks."

"I wish I found mine." She sighed, putting her letter back into her pocket.

"What was it with?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I won't hurt her, don't worry Bloodwing. I'm not really into all this pirate hoo-ha. I'm looking for someone." He explained.

"His own fucking hands."

She laughed at that and shook her head, "That's impossible."

"They're not that great if they left you."

"Bloodwing's been with me for a decade. She doesn't like many people." Kiya sounded on the verge of hyperventilating from fear.

"Uh, the girl I was friends with, she raised hers. She went to a gathering with her parents on a ship known as the Princess' Soul or something like that. I never got to see her after that, my parents never told me why. Simply said that savages took her."

"It's not when he is pretty angry at something."

"Yeah I know." She sighed.

Henriette just shook her head at him, "I think your being ridiculous. No one can do that with their hands. You leave Caspian alone, if you done something to p**s him off to the point he put the sword to you then that's your own fault." she muttered before getting to her feet and leaving, going to her room.

Caspian came up behind her when she got to the door or her room.

She opened her door quietly, not noticing him there.

"Yeah, creepy coincidences, huh?" Kiya gently stroked Bloodwing's side, trying to calm her.

"It's fine being on here though. That's what I reckon."

"Coincidences? What'd you mean? You have more in common then just the birds?"

"What's wrong?"

"Yeah it is."

She jumped at his voice, laughing at herself before asking, "Wrong? Nothing. Some of the people here just make me angry, that's all. How's your sister?" She asked, turning around to face him.

"Trying to decide whether to throw just that new girl overboard, or just Zachary or both of them." He slid his arms around her. "What did Diego say to you?"

"She hasn't actually done anything wrong though, Casp, it'd be cruel to throw her overboard." She grumbled before shrugging and whispering, "He uh, showed me his scar. Claims you done it your hands but it's like impossible so… I don't believe him."

"You had best start."

"I got snatched from the same boat." Kiya took in a deep shaky breath, smiling weakly when Bloodwing rubbed her beak against her cheek.
