"Assumed they'd be safe here, everyone's drinking… he just kind of downed it in one." Tamara replied with a quiet laugh, taking the bloodbag from her with a quiet thanks before turning and walking bak to Adrian. Sitting in the chair beside his and wrapping an arm around him to pull him back into her side gently.

"Because they're normally here, screaming in my ear. Mia's looking after them today though, so we can speak about whatever you want."

Adam frowned deeply, got to his feet and followed her.

Olivia reached the kitchen and started making herself breakfast, mumbling angrily under her breath.

"I don't really have much to say Rik. And I really need to get this workload done otherwise we won't get the money and..."

Adam watched with a small frown.

"I'm sorry Rik. If I get any free time ill try and ring you but me and Zac really need this money because his wage was cut last month and we're already behind on paying for the house."

"I can feel your eyes burning into the back of my head Adam."

"No, make worse." Adrian mumbled.

"I'm ready to go Nik. I'm tired." Tatia mumbled to Klaus.

"Okay," Klaus whispered gently, kissing the side of his head.

"Really?" Tamara asked with a frown, "Normally helps…. Let's get you home so you can rest."

"Rik we've had this discussion, I've had it with half the family. No. I don't want to be indebted to anyone, Zac especially doesn't want it. His careers taken a knock and it'll make him feel worse if he knows that people know we can't support ourselves anymore."

"Or redirect them, as long as you're not scrutinising me."

Henrik just sighed softly, "But if you need help, Hope…"

Adrian shook his head.

Tatia got up then, heading over to Vanessa at the bar and explaining that they were going, hugging her before pulling away and waiting for Klaus.

"Adults ask for help when they need it, Hope." Henrik replied with a small sigh. "What's Zac working as anyway?" he asked curiously, "You never got around to telling me."

Tamara frowned deeply and kissed his cheek, "You'll feel better, resting at home…"

Tamara got to her feet and pulled him up onto his, "Let's get you to the car so we can get home then," she whispered.

"Could you both maybe move, to a cheaper area? He can go to a better paid university?" Henrik suggested quietly.

Adam frowned and kissed her cheek gently.

"No need to thank me for that."

"We can't afford a move Rik."

"I do." Vanessa mumbled and pulled away. "Hope you feel better soon mum, not long now, mm?"

Tatia just shook her head and gave her another smile before heading out.

Adrian leaned heavily on her.

Olivia leaned into him, about to say something when there was a knock on the door.

"Sell your house and you'd have the money for a cheaper one, that'd be easier to maintain, go somewhere where the jobs are easier to find and pay more money." Henrik whispered, "It's the only thing I can think of if your not going to accept help off of anyone."

Adam frowned and kissed her cheek gently before heading to the door and opening it.

Tamara led him out to the car.

"I'm not here to cause trouble or anything." Kol assured when Adam opened the door. "I've come to see Ollie."

Adrian followed her lead.

"There is nowhere Henrik, we're stuck in a rut. Our house is barely worth anything anyway."

"Ollie, do you want to see my dad?" He called over his shoulder into the kitchen.

"Would you like some company for a few days?" Henrik offered gently, "I'll buy my own food and things like that, just so you have a shoulder to lean on."

She opened the car door for him.

"You have the kids to look after, it's not fair leaving Kota with all three."

"They can stay with Ness for a few days, or Mia, or mum and dad." Henrik shrugged, "Let me come over for a few days, Hope, please?"

She closed the door for him before getting into the drivers side and starting the car up.

Adam just let out a small sigh and took a step to the side so he could come in, "Apologise and then if she doesn't want you here, leave, okay?"

"Fine, okay." Hope sighed.

Adrian rested his head on the window.

Kol nodded and headed inside.

A month or so later, after a particularly difficult labour Mia's and Caleb's baby was born. The baby was checked over and offered to Tatia, who initially held her arms out in instinct but quickly withdrew them, her face falling. "Not mine to hold." She said quietly, voice hitching a little as she gestured for the nurse to hand the baby over to Mia, which she did as Tatia buried her face in Klaus' arm.

"I'll burden you with my presence, it'll be fun." Henrik joked lightly, "When would you like me to make a dramatic entrance that I still need to think of?"

Tamara reached over to rest her hand on his gently as she drove. "Puts a bit of a downer on everything, doesn't it?"

Adam closed the door behind him before heading into the kitchen, "He's just here to grovel," he told Olivia gently.

Mia frowned at seeing her mother upset, glancing down to the baby in her arms and soon smiling brightly, "Hello.. It's nice to finally meet you, baby."

Klaus kissed the top of Tatia's hair gently.

"For what? Not believing me even though I've never lied to you? For stabbing me and snapping my neck? For trying to constantly control my life? For not talking to me for years just to keep other people happy? For ruining my life? For trying to split me and Adam up? For trying to ruin your own sons happiness? For making it so that our baby is only going to have me Adam and Astrids mother as family? For constantly making Adrian and Adam fight because you can't tell when you're putting them against each other?! For making most of my life miserable when you went off on one?!" Olivia started, initially clam at first though she started ranting towards the end. "What Kol?! What have you come to apologise for?!"

"All of it, M'sorry Ollie." Kol said sheepishly.

"Mm." Adrian muttered.

"Come whenever you want... Just let yourself in if we're at work."

Tatia leaned towards Klaus' kiss, resting her hand over his and lacing their fingers.

Adam slid an arm around her gently and pressed her lips to the side of her head to soothe her slightly.

Tamara was silent then.

"Okay."

"Sorry doesn't cut it Kol, not even close!" Olivia hissed.

"Ollie I mean it, I'm really sorry for it all, I'd do anything."

"M'not. I'm awful, m'glad it's over now, maybe I won't be like a walking incubator that my daughter is scared of because she feels like I'm going to steal her child. She has her child now, maybe she might start looking at me like I'm her mum again." Tatia mumbled, curling up into him.
