"Mm?" LJ hummed sleepily, blinking his eyes open before closing them again and rolling over on the bed so his back was facing his sister. "What do you want Kari? I'm tired.. My lay in for weeks, let me sleep."

"Because you were dismissing what Kol was going through." Astrid replied with a shake of her head, "You were making out like what he went through was nothing when it was worse than death, and that's just from what he's let slip about it so far."

He just shook his head in response to that, "I look broody? What if that's just my face?" he asked with a small smile.

"I noticed you have a few paint splatters, maybe I just wanted a reason to talk to you because it appears we have a similar interest."

---

"Look, look!" Karina waved a letter in his face. The letter was written in Russian Cyrillic, but Karina had scrawled a rough translation in English under each line, the letter basically saying her audition had been a success.

"Oh piss off"

LJ opened his eyes once again, taking the letter from her and reading the rough translation she had made. Sitting himself up with a smile and replying cheerfully, "Well done Kari! I knew you'd be able to do it."

Astrid flinched at that, "Oh thanks mum... thanks." she mumbled quietly. "Love you too."

---

"You paint?"

"You know I love you, you're my daughter. But it doesn't mean I like you at this moment in time."

---

"Mm, and draw. I'm at art college. You?"

Karina grinned and moved to lay beside him. "I can't believe I did it".

"I paint and draw, sell my art occasionally." Klaus confirmed with a small nod as he took another sip from his drink.

"Why? Because I'm not full of sympathy like everyone else is?" Astrid asked with a roll of her eyes, ""I cSorry I'm treating you like I normally would. You're being horrible to me mum, horrible. Whenever you open your mouth it's to tell me to piss off other than that you don't speak to me at all. It's not as if I haven't missed you!"

"I can," LJ laughed, "I knew you could."

"well a you talk about is fucking Kol and I'm sick of it, you make me feel like you didn't give a shit I was gone, you only cared about him."

"Wow. Must be good if you can sell it.... My names Ana, by the way."

"Only thing is... I have To move to Russia."

"Mm," LJ hummed quietly in response to that, "That'd be amazing for you though, to go off on your own - get your own little life over there and still have one here too."

"I'm Klaus,"

---

"Sorry for wanting to ask you for advice like I always did before you died!" Astrid replied with a hiss, "I've told you that I missed you! It was one of the first things I said to you! Every time I try and talk to you about anything you either blank me or Vanessa sticks her pathetic little nose in and you talk to her instead of me because she's like the organiser of your pity party!"

"What if something happens?..."

Tatia hissed, stepping up and slapping her across the face before marching up to the room she had now in Vanessa's house.

"You don't sound German... Do you have German parents? Family?" Ana mused.

Klaus laughed a little bit in response to that, "It's just my name, if there is any significance to it then you don't really need to know." he replied simply.

"Like what?" LJ asked, "Nothing will happen, you'll be fine and if you won't be then I'm sure the majority of the family will take the next flight over there and be with you within a few hours."

Astrid winced more at the suddeness of the slap, rather than the pain it may of caused. Her eyes widening slightly as she got to her feet and just left without another word. Heading back to her home in absolute, shocked silence.

"Uh yeah we age but not like you do...I won't look any older. I'm about fifty or so I believe depending on if I count the one time I was killed or not. And as for food blood, human blood." He replied blinking a few time as he went back to normal. "Not as old as him though that's for sure" he laughed gesturing at Malvolio teasingly.

"There may be hunters out there."

Ana just nodded, "nice ring, lazuli?" She asked when she caught sight of his daylight ring.

She raised her eyebrows at that, "How old are yo-"

"Over a thousand years," Malvolio replied with a small shrug, "There are some older than me though."

Camila's eyes widened at that, swallowing thickly.

Klaus raised an eyebrow in response to that, "Mhm, how'd you know?"

LJ shook his head in the negative, "You'll be fine, Kari. You can't throw it away now, you worked so hard for it."

Astrid entered her home a few minutes later, closing the door behind herself and lifting her hand up so she could bite her fingers. Trembling slightly.

Matteo grinned. "Yeah I'm a baby compaired to most of them. This here is Malvolio though he's kinda like my adoptive dad or something?"

"I've bought a ring with it in before, thought it was sapphire until I tried to sell it and the jeweller informed me otherwise."

Malvolio wrinkled his nose at, "Kind of... Me and your mother had broken up when she adopted you so..."  

Camila just listened silently.

Klaus just gave a nod of understanding in response to that, "What did you end up doing for the ring?" he asked, "Where did you buy it from? They're not too easy to get a hold of."

LJ frowned deeply at that, shaking his head in the negative and whispering, "I can't, I have work here Karina.."

Astrid wandered silently into the livingroom.

"Yeah but you got back with her not to long after or whatever so you're like a dad to me..." He admitted softly looking up at him.

"I still have it, bought it from someone who either thought it was sapphire or who conned me."

"There are horses in Russia Jay."

---

Kol was sat with a glass of alcohol, sipping it quietly.

"Karl? Hey Karl? Wake up." Eri hummed as she kissed behind Karl's ear.

(( The neighbours brat is singing 'let it go' at the top of her lungs and it's giving me a headache >.< ))

"Mm? Good morning beautiful." Karl greeted as he blinked his eyes open with a yawn.

"Have you got it on you at the minute? Can I see?" He asked quietly.

LJ just let out a deep sigh, whispering quietly, "What about mum and dad though? Don't want them to feel abandoned or whatever..."

Astrid went to sit beside him but changed her mind as she got closer, shaking her head and sitting down on the arm chair to avoid an argument. Moving her hand away so she wasn't biting her fingers anymore and just pulling her knees into her chest.

"Mm," Malvolio hummed, frowning a little bit.

"Sorry..." He whispered with a low sigh looking to Camila. "Anything else?"

"They have Nikolai and Holly."

"I don't feel well, feel sick." Eri whispered in his ear, her excited tone contrasting with what she was telling him.

---

"Uh yeah, it's in my bag..." Ana leaned down and picked her bag up, taking out her purse before handing him a simple lapis lazuli ring.

Kol glanced over to her.

She got to her feet and took a hold of his wrist, walking off and pulling him behind her gently. Whispering a almost silent, "Want to speak to you alone.."

"Holly's always with Jeremy," LJ pointed out quietly, "And dad is awful with handling the money and things like that.. he needs me here otherwise his business will fall flat on it's face."

"Mm, and why's th-" He began with a small frown before realising what she meant. The frown quickly turning into a smile as he pulled her closer and pressed a deep kiss to her lips.

Klaus just looked it over in silence, as if he may of recognised it before putting it down on the table.

---

"Mum slapped me..." Astrid whispered, on the edge of tears, "She accused me of not caring and she hit me..."

Matteo nodded letting her pull him along calling over his shoulder "Tell mom I'll be home later!"

"Does it mean something to you?" Ana asked.

"Please Jay..."

---

Eri grinned and kissed him back deeply.

---

"She hit you? That's a little harsh."

"It didn't even hurt because she's human now but-" She began though cut off with a sob, curling more into herself.

---

Klaus shook his head in the negative, "Not particularly, sometimes they're a bit different and you can tell who they might of belonged to in the past but that ones rather plain."

He pulled her closer.

---

L.J frowned deeply and shook his head in the negative.

---

Camila just walked silently.

"Mm, so you're an artist with an interest in semi precious stones? You're pretty interesting."

---

Kol grimaced a little at that, setting his drink down and hesitating before patting the space beside him.

---

"I haven't tested yet but... I'm sure..." Eri whispered.

---

"Jay...."
