Laura was so happy sitting there cradling her son.

Marie watched from the doorway. "How's it going Caleb?"

Caleb just shrugged, he was unusually quiet.

Marie took his arm and pulled him into the hallway pushing the door shut. "Come on Caleb we've been friends forever, talk to me."

"It's nothing."

"Is this about Laura and the baby?"

He nodded with a sigh.

Marie hugged him. "They're both okay."

"But for how long?" He asked her. "I picked my son up and he was so fragile....Angel wasn't like that....With my own son I wanted t see what it would take to make his neck beak....Marie I wanted to kill my own son."

"You're still recovering Cal, we'll all be here to help you." She whispered patting his shoulder.

"What do I do until then? Think of ways to harm him? He doesn't deserve this Marie, neither does Laura."

"You won't hurt him. He's your son Caleb."

Caleb moved away from her.

"Listen to me Caleb we all believe in you, if you don't have faith in yourself that'll be the problem."

"I haven't had faith in myself since I woke up."

"Tell me why."

He shrugged. "I don't feel like myself anymore."

"Have you spoke with Eli or Laura about it?"

He shook his head. "Elijah would just worry, he has you and Angel to care for, and Laura would be the same."

"Okay you listen to me Caleb. We're all family here and family is open with each other even if it might make them worry. In order to help one another we need to stick together."

"Not when family has more important matters at present."

"You're important to us."

"The children hold more importance."

"Go talk with Laura. She needs you and you need her."

He looked at the door that led to Laura's room.

"Want me to come with you?"
