"I treated her badly before I was ill."

"We'll all be fine, don't worry Astrid. Your son wouldn't let you be together if he thought that he had any intention of hurting us. And I'm sure there will be plenty of people separating us should he attempt anything. Maisie will be safe. You will be safe."

Kol just shook his head and sighed.

"Adam is a daddy's boy, always has been." Astrid sighed, "Always sympathised with Kol over me, even when they had huge rows. I don't think he would of even assessed the dangers."

"Kol might of brainwashed him, he's good at the emotional blackmail or pretending to be okay when he isn't. It's all he does, pretend he's fine and his good at it too."

Letting out a small sigh, Astrid held her arms out for Maisie.

"I should go and tell Zosia, then, I guess." Cole mused, getting to his feet and wandering out of the room.

Dex went to hand his daughter over, though stopped when Maisie whined.

Astrid physically winced, taking a step back though she whispered, "Sshh, it's okay, baby. It's okay."

Cole wandered through the house in search for Zosia.

Zosia was in her room, doing her hair in front of the mirror.

"Maybe we should get a baby names book on the way home, mm?"
