"I think even if he was completely invisible I could hold him, I feel him." Aleshia whispered quietly in response to that.

"I more meant you can hold him without going through him... So he can't be doing to bad if he can maintain that..." Gabe mused thoughtfully.

"Maybe I'm just different, you try and touch him.."

"I can always touch him unless he makes it so I can't. Others however usually can't when he's this way..." Gabriel answered laying a hand on Nate's head to show her.

"Well, I can..."

Gabriel nodded sliding a hand down through Nate's hair to his forehead checking how cold he was and such. "I think he'll be alright after he gets some rest."

Nate didn't even budge.

"Yeah, yeah that's what I think too." Aleshia mumbled after a few moments of hesitation.

"Good...uh if he fades out for to long or gets much colder then how he is now get me. I'll be downstairs." He told her backing out quietly and checking for Neri.

Nerida was lingering in the doorway waiting for him.

Aleshia just nodded subtly in response to that.

Gabriel slipped his hand into hers. "I think he'll be okay...kinda a bit strange in there right now but I'm not to worried.."

"What do you mean kind of a bit strange?"

He lead her downstairs to the living room and sat down before he continued. "Remember years ago after I brought him back when I told you that other then me most people wouldn't be able to see, hear or feel him unless he wants them to even when in his human state?"

"Yeah..." She replied gently, "Why?"

"She can do that. He's practically not there but she can hold him like he's human...sees him clearly too. It's not right..."

"Maybe their souls have connected, there's been stories of it, when two peoples souls connect..." Nerida lifted her hand up to rest it just above his heart, "They can sense where the person is, can see them even after death.... Things like that. Or; maybe she isn't as human as you think, as maybe even she knows."

"Heard of that never seen it though... What do you think?"


Upstairs Nate mumbled in his sleep shifting around uncomfortably.

"I think the second option is more likely; I don't know what she'd be though. Maybe a dark angel? Just a strange person like you?" She teased.

"Sshh, sshhh," Aleshia soothed gently in his ear, kissing the top of his head. "Easy,"

Gabriel gave her a playful shove. "Oh shut it. My powers are due to him so I don't even know what she'd be."


Nate whimpered burrowing closer with another deep shiver.

Nerida burst out laughing in response to that, pushing him back playfully.

She sat herself up to grab another thick blanket, pulling it over him gently and rubbing his arms to try and warm him up. "You're okay, you're just fine. Gabe! He's getting colder!"

Gabriel laughed pulling her close to kiss her breaking away when he heard Alisha's shout. "I'll be right back." He told her getting to his feet and grabbing more blankets from a closet, and turning the heat up more before rushing upstairs.

He weakly blinked his eyes open to look at her. "M' tired Shia..."

Nerida let out a deep sigh and lowered her head a little bit to watch the ground quietly.

Aleshia ducked her head to press her forehead to his, "I know, sweetie, I know. What on earth did hey do to you?"

Gabriel walked in placing the other blankets over Nate. "I've turned up the heat for his room. I can probably make a call and see what more we can do but I don't know if they'd make it here quickly..."

His eyes snapped open and he looked to where he thought Gabe was. "Don't."

"You don't know how quickly who could get here?" Aleshia asked with a deep frown, mumbling softly to Nate, "What on earth did they do to you, Nate, tell me.."

"They tried to figure out how he is what he is and how he's even here. They as in those that helped me get him back when he died." Gabe replied.

Nate nodded at what was said. "Wouldn't tell them...they weren't happy."

Aleshia let out a small sigh and just brushed her fingertips gently through Nate's hair caringly.
