"Don't bring daddy into this! I'm doing what I always do, I'm helping someone. Everyone knows that how I am. Everyone. So don't you go using daddy or Daff against me, just dont..." Amanda had started off strone as she snapped back at him but towards the end it turned into a deep sigh and she lowered herself into the grass sitting down.

"How can I not?! Neither of them wouldn't want you hurt and here you go, putting yourself in harms way once again! It's disrespectful to both of them, and to the rest of our people! They need someone who will put them first, not someone who will do anything to help a sob story. I'm not going again; I'm taking my place on the throne back and you can go back to being Princess. You don't have your priorities right."

"I what?! You're the one that kept leaving and I don't have my priorities right?! You know what I don't even care. Go be King."

"I will, because your running us all into the ground! I haven't been going off on a jolly vacation, much to your disbelief, I have been networking! Getting us contacts with other shifted groups and kingdoms. Making allies!"

"How should I know when you don't tell me Delos. You tell me nothing and then come back and say I'm running us to the ground. I'm the reason the castle and our land is still standing! But go and do as you want I didn't even want the roll as queen anyhow!"

"Fine!" Delos snapped. "But that freak isn't allowed in -my- home, got it?!"

Amanda shrugged. "Fine."

"And nor are you if you don't change that attitude. Move back in with your little vampire family."

"Delos do what you want. You're the one giving attitude and shouting at me. I just don't care anymore that's all."

"Well you should! Because it's our home; it's dads legacy!"

"I meant I don't care what you say to me." She replied evenly shaking her head.

"Well you should; because I'm the only blood family you have left."

Amanda shrugged. "And I'm all you have."

"But I don't need you like you need me." He hummed, before shifting into a fox and disappearing into the bushes.

Amanda opened her mouth as if to say something but nothing came out not even a sound. Slowly she closed her mouth and got to her feet walking over to the swing and sitting down on it before she rwaliked Drake had most likely heard everything.

Drake silently sat himself down beside her on the swing, sliding an arm around her waist due to the lack of room and not having anywhere else to put his arm. Though he lowered his head to rest on top of hers, half hugging her.

She silently welcomed the gesture even if it was partly due to not having room. Slowly she lowered her head into his shoulder and without looking at him muttered a quiet, "M' sorry you had to witness that. He's nothe usually like that..."

"Sshh shifter," Drake hushed gently, "People change, maybe his travels have changed him; maybe something happened. Or maybe it's just a one off, give him a few hours and then see what he's like, hm? I'll- I'll leave if you want me to. I understand family is more important. I'll be okay alone...."

Amanda's head snapped up at what he'd called her and she stared at him for a long long time. Nothing else registered in her head just then only that he had called her 'shifter'.

"What?" He whispered, wrinkling his nose in confusion when he felt her state. Tilting his head a little bit to the side and moving his head off of hers.

"I- uh well you..." Slowly shaking her head she ran a hand through her hair gathering her thoughts quickly. "Nothing. Nothing I'm okay. Maybe you're right and he's just angry. I'll try talking with him tomorrow but as for you, you don't have to go."

"Are you sure? I don't want to be a burden..."

"Positive." She gave him a soft smile. "Please don't go."

"I feel awfully guilty..."
