She nodded stepping back to let him go.

He kissed her once last time before he left.

When he was gone, Alice was stood in the middle of the kitchen staring at nothing in particular.

CJ watched him go until she could no longer see him before she went into the kitchen to make some coffee.

She snapped out of it as CJ walked in and made herself some juice.

She focused on her coffee to keep from saying anything.

Alice pulled some food from the microwave as it pinged and she walked to the stairs. "Hayden, Ethan, dinners ready."

Ethan was already with Hayden and took her hand to go eat.

CJ leaned against the counter.

Hayden went with him and she froze at seeing CJ.

She didn't say a word simply drinking her coffee.

"It's okay Hayden no one's going to hurt you."

She nodded slightly and she carefully walked to the table.

CJ got up and walked out going back to her room.

He sat down at the table with her.

She watched CJ go. "I'm sorry." She told her though she sounded quiet.

CJ stopped and turned around. "He wasnt hurting anyone here...all he wanted was to be with me..."

"He tried to kill me." She whispered.

"Because of what you did to him but he didn't. Then he saw me and was okay...he was okay the entire time he was here..." she answered not looking at any of them. "...but forget about it he's left and I'm not angry... everything is fine."

"Just be careful." Alice advised. "Mathew changed when he came back up to heaven, but I wish you luck if you choose to follow him, and you can always come back here."

"Do you know why he left after he first came down?" She whispered after a moments silence. It was obvious she was concerned that he might not come back again and that she cared for him.

"Every angel leaves heaven, to find their guardian, you were his, when you didn't need him anymore, because of becoming a vampire, he went back up to heaven to watch from a distance. If that wasn't hard enough on him, then whilst there, they stopped him seeing you because he fell in love." Alice told her. "He will come back." She told her. "He gave you his angel necklace, he needs that to live, he can live without wearing it for three weeks at the most."

"He... I..." she froze turning to look at Alice now. "He didn't tell me that... I was so mad at him..."

"Of course he wouldn't, it's self preservation."

"He should've told me...I hated him for leaving me..." she frowned deeply. "And what necklace are you talking about?"

"Check your left Jean pocket." Alice told her and sure enough there was a necklace, with what looked like a feather attached to it.

CJ put her hands in her pockets checking pulling out the necklace. "What...why would he...?"

"A silent promise to come back." Alice shrugged. "It also shows that he gives his life solely to you."

A small smile tugged at her lips and she held this necklace close, protectively. "Tell me about him?"
