Koby shook his head as he made them both some dinner. "Not really, she just said they argued...Rachelle is trying to find out but there's no joy yet."

Alexis was sat at home filling in some reports, she hadn't really spoke to Lily, Daniel or Koby eventhough said brother was staying with her and Rachelle until Alexis was sure that he was fully healed.

"Right."

"Maybe you should ask." Koby suggested. "She might tell you because you're a girl and all that and older than Rachelle."

Eventually Rachelle wandered over to Daniel's house and she tapped him on the arm. "Danny....Can I hang out here?"

"No, she wouldn't tell me and I am not going to listen to her bitch about my brother, she'd know better then to tell me." Lilly mumbled.

"Sure."

"Alexis doesn't really bitch about people." Koby told her, handing her plate of food as he pulled himself up onto the counter with his own. "She'll probably just do what she did with me, look at me with that raised eyebrow of hers and go back to her journal." He shrugged. "Or you could steal her journal."

Rachelle smiled, sitting on the ground beside him. "You know, if this is what having a dad's like, I like it."

"No. You do it." Lilly mumbled. "I'm not your sisters biggest fan."

"Having a dad?"

"What happened?" Koby asked.

"Well you're kind of a substitute." Rachelle told him. "Don't worry mum doesn't know...But I've not really got any male figures in my life except Uncle Koby and he's not really a good one." She admitted. "And you're kind of the only other man I have in my life...Sorry if I sound stupid, I'm used to that."

"I just dislike her," Lilly mumbled. "She spoke about you like you were dirt last year, now she is clinging to you to the point we never got to speak until her and Dan's argument. Oh, and no matter what they argued avout, my brother has been walked over by her all year and she has done nothing in returb so if she cant forgive him then she's obviously a using cow. Dan never goes silent about things like he has with this."

"Well you should tell your mother, I'm sure she'll ban you from me."

"She loves you." Rachelle told her. "She wouldn't do that."

"Now you know that's not true." Koby told her. "Lily, I've them this past year too, my sister doesn't use Daniel, she doesn't have to, but let's get the facts and if I'm proved wrong and my sister does then I will undoubtedly apologise to you and knock some sense into my sister." He promised her. "But as for me and Alexis, this is what we're like, yeah she and I hated each other last year, but things can change."

"Well I dislike her, and that is just how it is." Lilly sneered. "Don't you dare lecture me, you have no idea how I feel and you clearly dont give a shit about my opinon if you are going to rip into it. You saying its pkay, doesnt make it okay. Believe it or not, I'm allowed my own fucking opinon and you disagreeing with it doesnt mean I'm wrong. I am always stuck with men who try and beat me down into submission so lets make it very clear now, you are on strike two already Koby. You do not own me. I am allowed an opinon."

"I'm not discussing it."

"I didn't say you weren't." He told her. "And what was strike one? But how about I don't lecture you and you don't lecture me?" He offered.

Rachelle went quiet and she seemed to sidle away from him.

"I am not lecturing you! You asked my fucking opionon and I told you! Strike one?! Strike one was trying to force me to go home!"

He looked at her. "You know I only did that to look after you like a man in love with you should." He told her. "You didn't look comfortable in those chairs, so Ihought it would be best if you went home to rest."

"I don't give a shit." Lilly hissed.

"You know I'm struggling to work out whether you want me. To care for you like a boyfriend should or not." Koby told her he had been perfectly calm and monotones through this and he sipped his drink.

"Danny...What do you do if you think someone is in trouble?" Rachelle asked.

"You aren't hearing anything I'm saying to you," Lilly muttered. "In your head it is just all about you. If you dont give a shit that you are scaring me by demeaning my opinon then you can go fuck yourself. You and your crappy sister. I'm packing my stuff and leaving the town."

"Depends on the trouble,"

"There's the man, I don't know much about him but he hangs around outside the house when Uncle Koby isn't there....I don't know if mum knows but I saw something silver in his hand and I'm worried for mum."

"I am listening to you." Koby told her. "I'm not making this about me and I don't mean to scare you." He told her.

"I'm leaving town." She repeated.

"Tell your mum about it then, kid."

He looked at her. "You know I don't want you to go." He told her.

"Rachelle." She told him. "But I don't want to, I don't want her worrying."

"I can't do anything about it, so you have no choice but to tell her or Koby. Someone in your house."

"I have no choice, I saw someone so I have to leave."

"But you did the first time right?" She asked.

"Who?" He asked. "But I'm not letting you leave, at least not without me."

"Come with me then, and I'll explain on the way."

"And your mother had an issue with me protecting her. Leave it alone."

"When do we leave?" He asked.

Every time he came short with her, Rachelle would move a bit firther away, curlin in on herself. "She's never had someone do that before." She whispered. "It's why she adopted me...She spent so long alone...She took pity on me."

"Tomorrow morning,"

"I would rather not talk about your mother," He whispered.

"And where would we go?"
