He nodded.

"That's cute."

"I do wonder if he feels the same." Koby told her as he watched the ceiling.

"Mm," Lilly hummed, "As I wonder how you feel for me."

"Well considering I asked you to kiss me, I thought that was obvious." He told her.

"Was it a I love you kiss or a friends with benefits kiss or a lets have a date kiss though?"

He looked at her. "Let's go on a date kiss really."

"Mm, just that?"

"For a start hopefully." He told her.

Meanwhile, when Daniel got home, Rachelle was sitting on his doorstep, they had gone abck to their usual routine of Rachelle going to Daniel's after school and now she was sporting a cut lip and a black eye.

"Oh dear, what's happened?" Daniel frowned, crouching down in front of her and resting her fingertips beneath her chin.

"Mm,"

"Some girls called me stupid and when I stood up for myself, they called me a freak and hit me."

He smiled slightly.

"Well done, it's good to stand up for yourself. You done well, lets head inside, hm?"

Lilly close her eyes

She nodded. "How's mum?" She asked as she followed him inside.

Koby slid an arm around her.

"Mm, must like you if I've slept on a chair for three nights."

"You're mother is fine, the last I knew she was with your uncle."

"Did you two have a fight?" She asked, she only asked because he usually said more than that and he seemed happy when he talked about Alexis.

"Why do you like me?"

"I suppose we did," He hummed, heading into the house quietly.

"What about?" Rachelle asked following him.

"What did you argue about?"

M"Because you're smart, beautiful, way out of my league."

"I'm not out of your league," She chuckled, "Stop saying that, you."

"That isnt important."

"I'm an immortal druggie, I think that qualifies as out of your league."

"Okay..." she pressed some tissue

She shook her head in the negative, leaning up to wrap her arms around him and pull him close; just holding him.

He sdtayed as close as she wanted.

Daniel was sat out in the front garden a few days later, eyes closed against the sun as he relaxed in it.
