"Well, it could calm the wolves down, take away the red mist that they see when they see each other, I'm not entirely sure."

"Belle had that but it nearly killed her..." Geo whispered.

"And why would that be the least favourite option? That sounds like the best. It isn't violent."

"I can take it out if you like." Isadora offered. "You can keep it in a jar."

"Becuase there's no guarantee that it would work." Koby reminded him. "Or it could make things worse."

"If the other solution is one of us killing the other it can't really get much worse, dad."

"Fair point." He told him. "But you could both end up dead."

"I have a better solution. I just leave. I can't hurt him when I am not in the pack anymore.."

"And what about your son? Your grandson? Your wife? Your daughter?"

She watched the memory with him, it showing an older man, who was covered in mud and looked to be sick, lying in bed surrounded by an old looking home and an older looking healer.

"Aly can come with me, and Connor. Ella and Isaac can visit. It is a better solution than one of us killing the other!"

"Gross," Geo whispered, moving his hand to scratch at the skin on his arm.

"Just try the magic first." Aly told him. "Because I am not walking around on eggshells with you for the rest of our days."

Isadora caught his hand in hers. "Don't move, I need you still."

"I don't like it," Geo mumbled uncomfortably.

"I know but not much longer." She told him. "And then I'll get rid of it." She told him as she watched the man subcumb to an illness presumably caused by the mud as he died in front of them.

"Stop making me see it now Issy, please." Geo whined. "Keep it buried wherever it was."

"Good," Max repeated quietly before looking to his father. "You need to drag the information out of Freya, whatever happened to her."

"If I take it out it will cure your phobia." She promised and she managed to make it quick and painless and she let him up before she put a small. Whispy looking thing in a jar.

"I will when she's ready."

"Maybe I dont want it cured! Put it back, you can't just assume." Geo whined. "We wanted to understand it thats all, its part of me."

"I am not ready to discuss in detail but I get harassed." Max shrugged. "Your daughter is a spoilt brat, dad."

"It's still here, let's try and test run, if having it out helps it stays in the jar if not I can put it back." She told him.

Maybe you should of defended me just then when she was throwing insults, hm? Let's not forget Faun had no siblings to insult."

"I did defend you." Koby told him. "I've defended you for weeks, she told me what you did and how you acted last week." Koby told him. "I don't need to defend you all the time Max, you're perfectly good at that yourself."

"Yes let's see what it is, so put it back so then I can work out how to deal with it without taking the easy way out and removing part of my identity. Put it back, Isadora, I am being serious now."

Max shook his head in frustrating, growling, "I felt closer to Andre in an hour with him then I ever have to you,"

"Max stop!" Aly told him. "Stop hurting people especially your father."

"I have always been the outcast that neither parent raised in this family." Max muttered, turning and walking away.

Aly dragged him back. "Your dad never got a chance." She told him. "But he's trying, hell he took us in last night, I mean it Max I will not live the rest of our life walking on eggshells around you."

"Then we can't sort it." She told him handing him the jar. "Next time I'm not offering to help you." She got up and headed downstairs to make breakfast.

"I didn't realise a couple of rough months when I am going through stuff results in you wanting to leave me, talk about sickness and health, hm?" Max growled.

"What am I meant to do with a jar? Put it back in my head Issy! I never asked you to take it out!"

"I will not live on eggshells. Ax, you promised me that," She told him. "I love you, but I can't live like that."

"And you promised you would support me as I have supported you." Max answered firmly. "Leave me when I need you if you want but that is a reflection of you, not me."
