"Here and there. I've lost track of location since I lost Poppy, just... making it up as I go."

She nodded, subconsciously playing with her husbands wedding ring on her necklace. “Same here, things just kind of….blend together.”

"It has to be over soon though, hm?"

“I like to hope so.” She told him. “You know David used to laugh when this all started and say we swapped one war for another.” She smiled wistfully. “Seems like he was right.” She looked to him. “Where are you heading Connor?”

"No where in particular,"

She nodded as she watched the flames, stroking Caspian's head as he lay next to her. "I'm taking Jonothan to see if this safe land is more than just a myth."

"It is probably a trap to lure the vulnerable in, I don't trust it."

She shrugged. "It could be, but then it could be true....There's only one way to really know."

"Your just walking into a death trap."

"And what if it isn't?" She asked.

"Then your lucky but use your brain, Al. The best way to lure people to their deaths is promising them paradise."

"I am using my brain Con, but does it really seem that far fetched?" She asked. "There are areas that can't be easily reached on foot, maybe there is something there." She told him. "I'm not asking you to come, though it would be nice."

"Yes, yes it does. I've seen it with my own eyes. It was one of those pyscho groups that got to Poppy."

She sighed. "I'd have to ask Jonothan, he wats to go there, I'm taking him and the joining the survival group in the East."

Connor shrugged lightly, taking the fish off of the fire once it had cooked.

Aleah watched Caspian as he suddenly sat to attention, going back on his hind legs asking for a bite like he was promised.

Connor laughed quietly, cutting the head off the fish and tossing it to him.

Aleah laughed softly as she watched them. "Always preferred dogs to humans." She told him playfully.

"Dogs listen."

She rolled her eyes. "Yes when there is food." She told him, and she took her backpack off and set it beside her, takin out some trail mix.

"You're just jealous he likes me more, you always have been."

"He's technically not my dog Connor, he was David's."

"That's exactly why you were jealous." He chuckled.

She shrugged and she went quiet, again fiddling with her necklace.

Connor was quiet too then.
