"I - I really want to go and see Cas. Please? I'll come and join you after, I promise."

Hunter nodded. "Go on. It's cool."

"Thanks," Hudson whispered, squeezing his brothers shoulder before pushing his way through the crowd, before disappearing out of the door. It only taking fifteen minutes before he was knocking on Cassie's door.

"I brought us sho- oh, your brother has gone?" Kendrick frowned, balancing a tray of drinks. "More for us, I suppose."

Hunter sighed watching Hudson go until he was out sight. Turning his attention to Kendrick. "Yeah, he's going to meet up with later..."

"It only took a moment before Cassie was pulling open the door with a bright smile on her face. "Well if it isn't one of my most handsomest grandsons."

"Sorry to be here so late," Hudson whispered, leaning in to pull her into a hug. "We were out partying, it was getting too loud and Hunter's friend is being a di- being irritating."

"I question how the two of you are related. He's dull."

"Con, Hudson is here," she called only loudly enough for him to hear her which wasn't loud at all. "Oh, don't be silly, you know you're welcome here anytime morning or night." Cassie hugged him to her, letting a laugh slip past her lips. "You can say it. You're not a little boy anymore."

"I've told you before, he's not fond of a lot noise and places like this."

"I'm not going to swear in front of you, that is ridiculous." Hudson mumbled. "There are certain people you just don't swear in front of."

Cassie smiled softly and gave his hair an affectionate ruffle. "Always the sweet boy you are."

"No, he isn't. I don't get what you're issue is with him and why you always have to mess with him."

"It's just a bit of fun, it isn't my fault the man doesn't know how to take a joke." He chuckled, picking up one of the shots and raising it - waiting for Hunter to do the same in toast.

"Not sweet. I don't like Hunter's friend..."

"Doesn't matter, just leave him be." Hunter frowned a bit reaching to pick up one of the shots.

"You don't have to always like the same people."

"It isn't just a case of not liking him. It's a deep dislike, past hate." He swallowed. "Hunter has so many pictures of the two of them together over the past few years, like... he's had an entire life away from me. I should like his friend for giving him that."

"I'm not doing anything to him." Kendrick scoffed, tapping his glance to his as he downed the shot.

"So why don't you like him then hm? What is it about him that makes you dislike him so much?" Cass asked as she guided them both over towards the sofa.

"Stop messing with him so much," he replied simply, clicking his glass to Kendricks and downing it in one go.

"He doesn't listen." Hudson answered matter-of-factly, leaning back into the cushions as he sat. "He doesn't respect people when they ask him not to do something. He just... he does whatever he wants, constantly."

Kendrick narrowed his eyes, dropping the plastic glass when he was done and letting it clammer to the floor.

"Woah there," Danika frowned, hand reaching to catch it. "'We do not make more work for the bar staff. No, no, no."

"Ah, a young hot head. Thinks the sun rises and sets on them," she hummed softly in understanding.

Hunter made a face, opening his mouth to say something to Kendrick but his eyes turned to his grin and suddenly he was grinning. "Hey, Danni. You made it."

"And you know Hunter went to the smart person school so this guy has that self-entilted ego to boost. He is just.. not someone I ever would have thought he would be friends with."

"And you are finally gracing us with your presence." Danika laughed, pushing Kendrick away as if the man was nothing so she could pull her cousin into a hug. "We've all missed you."

She gave a nod of understanding. "Well there's bond to be something that Hunter sees in this young man then, yes?"

"I've been away at school, you know that." He mumbled quietly, hugging her tightly. "I've missed you too though."

"I know where you've been, idiot." She snorted, smacking him across the head in jest as she took a step backwards. "Where's Hud?"

"Ow, you don't have to be so mean," he laughed, rubbing the side of his head and grinning at her. "He went to see Cass. He'll be joining us later."

"Ah, grandma's favourite striking again." Danika mused, casting a glance over her shoulder as her name was called by a red headed woman at the bar. "I brought a friend along, I hope that's okay?"

Cassie nodded. "How about something to eat? Are you hungry?"

Hunter smirked. "No way, I always thought you were the favorite," there was a playful gleam in his eye. "Nah, I don't mind. Kenny, you care?"

Kendrick shook his head, following Danika's gaze to the girl. "No, no she can definetly stay."

"Pervert." Danika muttered.

Hunter rolled his eyes. "Dude, seriously?" He looked at Danika. "Go ahead and go get her."

Cassie got to her feet. "Come on, let's get you some food."

"Completely different person here, you are." Kendrick mumbled with a shake of his head. Grabbing another drink fromvthevtray and taking a swig as Danika walked away to fetch the woman.

Hudson quietly got to his feet, wandering in front of her to the kitchen. "Havecyou got pop tarts?"

"I'm still me no matter where I am, dude... I just look out for my brother, is all." He defended himself. The other girl, Sarah, walked towards her when she saw her coming over to him.

"I believe there's a box or two in the cabinet near the fridge," she laughed quietly.

"Great, great." Hudson grinned, more of a bounce to his step then. Pulling open the cupboards and taking the caramel box out. "This is much better than a loud club."
