Immortal Mansion

Peter gently moved a hand to Denise’s cheek. “Are you okay? Do you want to stop?”

Denise laid her hand on top of Peter's that was on her cheek. "I'm okay and I want nothing more than to marry you but the real question here is, are you okay? Do you want to take a brief pause and go speak with her?" She knew full well where her heart lie but she didn't want him to ever regret or have doubts about not talking with Brooke about this.

“I really don’t want to, I knows how it would look.” Peter told her.

"It doesn't matter how it would look, how you feel is what matters." she told him.

Peter sighed as he looked at her. “I’m only going for Deanna.” he told her as he kissed her hand gently. “Save me a spot at the front?” He asked her playfully

"Go on and hurry back. It's okay, I promise." she smiled softly at him, her she's fully of love.

He headed back inside after Brooke and Deanna finding them easy enough because Deanna was still telling her mother to tell Peter how she felt

Brooke had set Deanna down on one of the couches and she was sitting down in an arm chair, her head in her hands. Her powers were crackiling around her as she tried to keep control and keep her mind on lockdown.

At feeling her powers peters automatically counteracted it like he used to do when they were kids. At seeing him Deanna shouted him and ran to him

Not expecting him to show up, she nearly panicked when she felt the sudden control over her powers and momentarily struggled with it even more. "You shouldn't be here.."

“What did you expect me to do?” He asked. “And this isn’t me this is Denise.”

"Finish your wedding," she admitted softly, not meeting his eyes.

Eventhough he was annoyed at the situation that they found themselves in he was keeping his cool using his bond with Denise to do it. “Denise and Deanna feel that I should talk to you.”

"I'm alright. I didn't say or do anything.. I won't say or do anything. Not now. Not ever. Go marry Denise." She wouldn't do that to him. She had done a lot over the years but she had tried so hard not to ruin his wedding, she had only wanted to show up and be there for him, be a good friend and she had even done that wrong.

“Then would you mind telling that to Deanna?” He asked. “Because right now all I’ve got is her in my head telling me how much you love me.”

"I've told her many times but she's convinced that we're meant to be together. We clearly aren't when you're bonded to someone else. So no matter how I feel, isn't going to change anything when you need to get down there and marry the love of your life." Who isn't her.

Peter sighed. “As you wish it.” He went to leave but the door wouldn’t open. “Deanna let me out.” Peter told her.

“No! You’re both being stupid!”

Brooke nodded. When Peter couldn't get out of the room though she frowned. "Deanna open the door this instant, it isn't funny and I'm finished talking about this."

“I’m not!” Deanna told them. “You two do love each other, you have me.”

"Dee, we've been through this as well." Brooke sighed, she was so tired of having these conversations not only with Dean but with Deanna... only at least the latter was a child. "Dean is your daddy and Peter doesn't feel the same, he's bonded now and marrying Denise. We're ruining his wedding and it isn't fair to them."

Peter forced himself to keep calm and he moved to sit on the floor with Deanna. “Look it’s true I do love your mother she’s one of my bestest friends, she always have been, but that’s it” he told her.

“But your daddy you’re supposed to love us both.”

“And I do but I also love Denise.” Peter explained. “Eventhough I’m marrying someone else I’m still going to be around, you’ll still see me and spend time with me but now it will be with your baby brother as well.”

Brooke fell quiet letting Peter have his say, she knew how he felt already but hearing the words come from his mouth and fully confirm things hurt a bit more than she had expected.

Deanna looked to him and even she had tears in her eyes. “Okay.” She told him. “I’m Sorry daddy, I’m sorry mummy.” She told them before the door swung open.

Peter kissed her forehead. “That’s my girl.” He told her before he got up and he looked to Brooke, he knew that he should saw something mg but he had no idea what to say. “I’m sorry Brooke.” He told her before he headed out of the door.

"It's okay, princess." Her voice was quiet and maybe she was trying not to cry but it didn't matter right then. "I love you little one, why don't you go with Peter and be there for the rest of the wedding." Brooke shook her head sadly. "No, I am.. " What she actually meant by that went unspoken. "I'm happy for you though, truly." And it was clear she was being sincere right then.

Peter smiled softly at her and Deanna nodded taking Peters hand as he walked back to the ceremony with her, bringing her to the seat next to Bo and he linked Bo telling her that Brooke might need her, before he went to join Denise.
