Jason relaxed, nodding slowly.

"Trust me, I would rather die than have you die."

"And an angel of death isn't the best father figure." Sirius told her.

"I understand it Faye."

She raised an eyebrow. "Prove it."

Indigo kissed him gently. "I don't like arguing with you,"

Aria nodded quietly, moving slowly to hug her knees to her chest.

"You still probably did better than me. I don't think I can even count on one hand the amount of times Faye has smiled at me."

"Then you should know I don't want this. At all. Just...my mom happens to be in the bloodline and I get the short end of the stick."

"Maybe when my life isn't in imminent danger." Ian kissed her nose. "This is always the danger period of time, between denial and ignorance of messages, they send people to drag us back."

"I don't like arguing with you either. It really rubs Jadon the wrong way, like rusty nails on the inside of my skull." The corner of his mouth twitched a little as he tried not to grimace. "We've been cooperating though. Can't exactly stay alive if I'm having a war with myself."

"When are you going to realise that I can look after myself?"

"I know you don't, but think of a positive aspect of this." He told her as he moved a hand into her hair.

"Tuesday I don't think that she has ever smiled at me."

He pulled her close.

"I know you can look after yourself. I just don't want them showing up when we're naked."

"There isn't anything positive about it. I can't even really go out anymore. I don't even like to hunt even more, s'why I don't heal well. Not as if it'd kill me anyway."

"You haven't been looking or haven't been there. When she was little, you were all she would talk about and she would get so excited about you." Tuesday sighed quietly, running a hand through her hair.

Aria leaned into his side. After a moment, she mumbled, "If you ever wanted me to leave, all you have to do is say. I wouldn't complain."

"Hmm," Indigo hummed in agreement. "It'll just turn you crazy."

"We aren't exactly stable anyway. Even if we did fight, we're already a little crazy and it wouldn't do much damage." Jason winced at something before snorting. "Though, that isn't the happiest of subjects."

Indigo frowned when she noticed him wincing. "What's wrong?"

"Jadon hates our inadequacies brought up. Thinks it makes us 'less desirable' a - oh, stop that!" Jason jerked his head to the side, rubbing violently at his ear and grumbling.

"Jadon telling you off?"

"Well she would certainly be the first to like me as a child."

Scarlet looked at him. "Why do you worry about that so much?"

"I know, I haven't seen you hunt for a while."

Scareth looked at her. "I will never ever leave you."

"Yeah, he is. And he fucking calls me whiny." Jason had started twitching every half a minute or so, hands clenched at his sides.

"She absolutely adored you." Tuesday rubbed her neck. "Alarick, as well, actually."

"Because not only is this mine to see." He patted her hip. "But it's when we're least expecting it. And I don't like to be caught off guard, y'know? Because that's a step to seals breaking or Cain getting out in a nasty mood, and I don't want you close when that happens."

"It's actually pretty easy to get over the want and hunger when you forget what it's like to eat. It's regular enough that I can ignore it without thinking about it."

"You might change your mind in the future."

"Is he hurting you?" Indigo frowned, noticing the way his hands were, and the slight movement of the twitching. "If he is tell him to knock it off."

"No. He's just really frustrated and it's projecting on me." Jason quickly brought his arm up to tug at his earlobe. "And my skin feels too tight."

"What's he frustrated about? You haven't done anything."

"He could adore me because Faye adores me you know." He told her as he slid his arms around her.

She stayed straddleing his waist. "We don't exactly have to remove our clothes you know, or go to far." She told him as she took one of his hands and moved it down her chest to her waist. "I've just missed you touching me like this."

"I wish I could help you somehow Faye."

"Trust me, I won't."

"He could adore me because Faye adores me you know." He told her as he slid his arms around her.

She stayed straddleing his waist. "We don't exactly have to remove our clothes you know, or go to far." She told him as she took one of his hands and moved it down her chest to her waist. "I've just missed you touching me like this."

"I wish I could help you somehow Faye."

"Trust me, I won't."

"He's always grumpy. He's paranoid as well, we both are, and sometimes he can't hear what I'm saying or what you're saying and it frustrates him."

"The connection they have didn't come in until later." Tuesday gently leaned against him. "So they both liked you of their own choices, without influence from the other."

Ian moved to hold her waist, kissing under her jaw gently. "I think that's fair enough."

"Don't burden yourself. Believe me, the effort won't be worth it."

Aria smiled weakly, leaning across to kiss his cheek gently before sitting down on her knees again.

"Oh right." He kissed her neck. "But it's safe to say that Kai and Scareth are more fond of you than they are of me."

"So are you going to take this one chance?"

"For me, it will be."

He kissed hers n return.

"Kai absolutely loathes me for a reason I don't understand. I think, by standing points, in my opinion, that Scareth is pretty neutral. Most of his attention goes to Aria anywhere."

"It's not going to go that far," Ian murmured, kissing under her ear. "But I'll pay you as much of my attention I can afford to spare."

Faye just shook her head with a sigh. "You'd be wasting time."

Aria dropped her eyes to her knees. "Was there anything you wanted to do today?"

"What have you got to be paranoid about?"

"Everything. Slightest movement, slightest sound, could be some poor bastard sent out to kill me."
