Darnell grinned at her giggle, sometimes it being rather obvious that he only died at the age of eight. That eight year old way of thinking just beneath the surface. "Floors lava!" He declared suddenly, jumping up onto a branch.

Darnell cursed when his foot caught as he landed and then tried to jump onto another tree. Ending up falling down and falling onto his side on the sand, groaning quietly, "It got me," still with a playful tone before blinking his eyes open. His eyes widening and face paling when he came face to face with his own body. "Maddie... Found it..." He whispered, voice quiet.

Maddie: flinched at hearing him say the words and seeing his body, the pieces really coming together for her as well now. Without a body it was easier to feel he was alive
