Klaus muttered something under his breath when he messed up the painting, ripping it up and throwing it in the bin before heading up the stairs silently. Listening.

Vanessa was still ignoring Tatia, even as she sat down on the end of the bed. "I don't want you to be unhappy Ness, it's the total opposite of what I want."

"Well you should've thought about that before you had me." Vanessa mumbled around the pillow she'd shoved over her face. "Making me the only one of what I am. S'not like I can go out and make anymore like daddy can with his hybrids or you can because you're a vampire. I can't make friends with humans because we'll have to leave them eventually, and I can't make friends with the fairies I found because you don't think I'm safe... So yeah, you should've thought about it."

Tatia frowned as Vanessa spoke, pulling her up into a hug. "I'm sorry sweetheart." she said as she kissed the top of her head.

"You aren't stopping anything. There's nothing left for me to say." Vanessa said as she shrugged herself away from Tatia and back down onto her bed. "You both know what I want."

Tatia was watching Vanessa with a sad look on her face, frowning slightly as Vanessa curled herself up and turned herself away from both of them

"Like you talked about having another baby and sending me to school? Neither of them worked out too great did they? Save it, I don't want to know."

"Fine," Tatia said, getting up off of Vanessa's bed and leaving the room, adding. "Don't say I didn't try." to Klaus as she walked out.

Klaus rolled his eyes at Tatia, "It'll get easier, Ness," he promised, "When you're older, when you stop ageing. You'll be able to meet vampires and werewolves that you wont lose and they can be your friends."

He moved slightly away from her. "Don't be scared ok?" He concentrated for a few minutes, before he showed her what it was like when he acted like a vampire.

Kaida, at first, seemed a little freaked out though gulping, she took a step forward and rested her hand on the side of his face, tracing her finger tips along where his face had changed. Watching his darkened eyes. Seeming more fascinated then scared. "You're even handsome like this."
