"No," Abigail complained lightly, "I want to see drunk you. You can fall asleep after I see drunk you."

Klaus shook his head and lifted his gaze silently onto the ceiling, "And when we're not arguing about Ness there's just nothing. Nothing to talk about really. Just lack of communication in general."

"S'probably because you're both to wary to say anything in case it results in another argument." Rebekah suggested.

"I want never gets," Kol teased.

"That's not true. I want gets things too sometimes." She pointed out with a quiet laugh, "Nor does I need, when I was four I asked my mother for a pony, said I needed one, I never got that."

"Yeah, well," Klaus shrugged, "Doesn't even matter anymore."

"I think every little girl needs a pony." Kol laughed.

"You're not giving up are you?" Rebekah frowned.

"Exactly. But does every little girl get a pony, no. Need doesn't get either."

"Lifes crap," Kol summarised.

"I'm not going to let you. Last time you two weren't talking you sulked around the house and Vanessa was moody too. It was a nightmare."

"Well, I'm allowing myself to so good luck in trying not to let me." Klaus grumbled a little stubbornly.

"Ah, only if you focus on the negative things." Abigail whispered before grimacing as she thought, "Okay, yeah, it is. Not all the time though."

"Most of the time then."

"So you're just gonna give up. Just like that? The past eight or so years because you're going through a rough patch?"

"Stop acting like your not thrilled." Klaus responded bluntly, "You've been loving every pathetic little moment of it, Bekah, of all the arguing and you can't deny it."

Abigail just gave a nod of agreement to that, downing the rest of her drink and whispering, " When it isn't though, it kinda makes it all worth it, huh?"

"Yeah, I enjoy the arguing, but I don't enjoy seeing you like this, and I'm not going to enjoy watching you or Vanessa sulk around the house either."

"I suppose so..."

"I think it does. Try and stick in that mind frame at the least," Abigail shrugged, "Doesn't always work or turn out like that, obviously,"

"Well tough,"

"Obviously." Kol repeated her words, taking a sip of his drink.

"Don't give up Nik. I don't like seeing you miserable."

"I don't like arguing with Tatia. This stops the arguing. This is what it is going to be. We're clearly not working. I don't want to be lied to. I'm fed up with you looking entertained whenever we argue. I'm tired of her being so overprotective it's making Vanessa miserable. So, tough, this solves all of that." He whispered simply in response.

Abigail poured her glass up to full again when it was nearly empty.

Rebekah sighed, "Just go talk to her? See if you can work something out, for Vanessa's sake at least, because she's going to be a whole lot more miserable if you're the same, and her mother isn't around. I know you don't want to be lied to any more Nik, but if she's willing to let you compel the truth out of her then take that opportunity and compel her!"

"You ever regret getting my sister to turn you?"

"We've already tried talking." Klaus replied simply, "Neither of us could come up with any solutions so, talking isn't going to fix anything this time."

Abigail frowned at the question, being silent for a few moments before giving a small nod of confirmation, "Only sometimes. Never really think about it too much, though, mean, my family'd probably be dead anyways or at least hate my guts still. I'd still have no friends. I'd still be miserable only to top it I'd be getting old, slowly killing myself with alcohol and worrying about money and things like that. Least now I can at least compel people to spend time with me and stuff, don't have to worry about getting old and silly things like that." she shrugged before asking him, "Do you ever wish you were human?"

"You said that lack of communication was one of your problems." Rebekah sighed, "You're not even willing to try for Vanessa's sake?"

"Not really, I'd be a lot less durable."

"Really? Not ever?"

"I've been trying for Vanessa's sake." Klaus responded simply, "It hasn't been working."

"Nope, I quiet enjoy immortality."

Rebekah sighed, "What're you gonna do now then?"

Klaus shrugged. "Either get drunk of sleep. I haven't decided whic yet, which do you think?"

Abigail just gave a nod, humming, "That's good."

"Well you yourself said that getting drunk isn't the answer to anyone's problems."

"It can get boring sometimes but the majority of the time it's good."

"Sleep it is then," Klaus replied simply with a shrug, getting to his feet and heading up the stairs.

"And times when your feeling like this it's..?"

"When there's nothing particularly happening. The 1200's were a bore because we had to lay low due to the Five."

Rebekah rolled her eyes as he went upstairs.

"I saw that," Klaus called over his shoulder before heading into his room and just laying on the bed.

Abigail gave a small nod, just listening to him now.

"Was pointless though, they didn't resurface again, until well, you know."

"Eyes in the back of your head or something?" Rebekah grumbled.

Abigail just gave a nod, "And now they've disappeared again like they weren't even there in the first place. Rather worrying, really."

Klaus rested his head on the pillow silently and closed his eyes.
