"If you say so," Dakota mumbled, yawning again before dropping off to sleep.

Henrik smiled and watched her sleep quietly.

Dakota remained in a deep sleep, and would've stayed in a deep sleep for a good few hours.

Henrik remained where he was, falling into a light sleep himself.

Tatia came up after around an hour, smiling softly at Henrik and pulling the covers over him. Kissing his forehead before quickly writing a note explaining they were going to Vanessa's for a while and would be back soon, before heading back downstairs to Klaus.

Klaus wrapped his arms around her when she got downstairs, pressing his lips to her cheek gently.

"I'm so proud of you for not turning it all off, so so proud." Tatia whispered as she moved to hug him back, pressing her face against his neck.

"The only reason I didn't was because I had to focus on keeping Kira not going out drinking." Klaus whispered.

"I know, I saw how bad she was getting, and I saw how you pulled her back from the brink of addiction. To do that all on your own - " Tatia shook her head and kissed his neck. "I'm so proud of you, and I'm so sorry I left you."

Kol was stood in the drive, having watched Adam drive off in Scarlett with Adrian, having let him have her for the night.

He just let out a deep sigh and pulled her into a hug, "It doesn't matter anymore, love. It's Ness you're going to apologise to." he whispered.

Astrid slid her arms around him from behind, leaning up to kiss his cheek and whispering, "You okay?"

"I had to apologise to you, since I heard you saying how angry you were at me for leaving you to deal with it all."

"Yeah, I'm perfect now." Kol nodded.

"Good," She whispered, moving her hand to rest on his chest gently to feel his heartbeat. "I'm so glad to have you back, pretty boy,"

"If you did mean it I would completely understand. I left you to deal with so much on your own..."

"No, it wasn't your fault." He replied with a laugh, "Don't be silly. You're back now, that's all that matters."

Astrid just nodded and moved around to hug him properly, "I'm sorry if some of your shirts aren't any good anymore since I've worn them all so much. I'll buy you more."

Tatia just smiled softly at that, kissing him gently before pulling away, "Come on,we best go see Nessa."

"So……. How have you been?" She asked with a quiet laugh, not knowing what else to ask.

Klaus nodded before heading out.

Tatia glanced over her shoulder, smiling a little at Lucas, Kira and Hope curled up on the sofa watching a movie before following him.

"How do you think I've been."

"Dead…. I don't know." She whispered, tangling her fingers in his hair and resting her head on his shoulder. "Tell me…"

When Tatia walked through the door, Vanessa was curled up asleep on the couch with her head in Leon's lap.

Astrid rubbed his back soothingly as she listened to him, not saying a word and seeing if he'd continue.

Leon glanced up and smiled lightly at seeing Tatia, gently waking Vanessa.

"It was agony, watching you crying and Adrian blame himself. It was even worse not being able to see Adam, not check on him... And Eri... well the last time I checked on her she was drowning her sorrows and crying into Karls shoulder on some cruise ship near the Bahamas..."

"Do I have to get up already?" Vanessa groaned, lifting her eyes and blinking at Leon before looking over where she saw the shadow of her parents. Sitting bolt up right before getting up and throwing herself at her mother, bursting into tears and holding her tight.

Astrid just listened silently, moving her hand up to tangle her fingers in his hair gently.

Leon laughed a little bit as he watched, smiling.

"It's been challenging..." Kol finally finished. "And I'm glad it's over."

Vanessa mumbled illegible things against her mothers chest, sobbing and clutching onto her tightly.

Tatia simply held her daughter quietly, kissing the top of her head and murmuring things to soothe her.
