Citlali brushed the snow off and grimaced. "Almost broke my tailbone and I have a wet patch but yeah, I'll live." Under her breath she muttered something about Joel being a bastard even if he did unintentionally frighten her.

Evelyn laughed. "It's true." She looked at Alex. "Anjuli is in bed, she's been crying for you for days."

"So, where's these shops then? I'm cold now." Citlali moved a hand to flip her ponytail over her shoulder and that resulted in her smearing blood from her cut hand on her cheek to which she swore quietly, trying to scrub it off with her sleeve.
