The Vampire Diaries

Mystic Falls VA [Virginia], a town supposedly founded in the 1859 [actually founded way way back in the day, before the 10th century] has always been plagued by the supernatural, Vampires, Werewolves, Doppelgängers, witches and now Hybrids. The founding families [The Fell's, Forbes', Gilbert's, Lockwood's and the Salvatore's] grouped together in the past to eradicate the town of Vampires, [and werewolves, but they didn't know that yet] and are still active in the present day. They have always been unsuccessful though, and remain so to this day.

Around two years or so after Vanessa had taken off, Tatia was curled up asleep in bed with Klaus in the middle of the night, not awakening when his phone started buzzing with a call from an unknown number.

Klaus blinked his eyes open and answered his phone with a sleepy, "Hello?"

"Daddy?" Vanessa asked hopefully, keeping her voice to almost a whisper as she spoke in rushed tones. "I need you to come pick me up as soon as you can, meet me on the bench on the beach where you found me before, please?" she begged quietly.

"Nessa," Klaus whispered, "Of course, I'll be there as soon as I can. What's happened?" he asked, waking Tatia gently and telling her, "I'm going to get Ness from Hawaii, Tat, I'll be back as soon as I can be with her, okay?"

Tatia frowned at being woken up, before smiling brightly and nodding at what Klaus said, sitting herself up and leaning in to listen.

"Just please hurry daddy, please." Vanessa whispered, before ending the call.

Charlotte was in the park with Elijah and Emily waiting for Jeremy to finish work since this was the only day that she and Jeremy weren't in work at the same time and she was playing with Emily whilst Elijah sat on a bench watching them. Damon was sitting with him and he seemed to be deep in thought.

"Wonder what trouble she's gotten herself into." Klaus sighed, putting his phone into his pocket and kissing Tatia's forehead as a goodbye before getting to his feet, putting a clean t- shirt on and leaving .

Falin was sat just beside Damon, studying him quietly to try and figure out what was on his mind.

Kaida was watching Emily.

Tatia watched him go with a frown, before reaching to the side of her bed and grabbing her phone, texting Astrid a quick  'Your sisters made contact and asked for Nik to bring her home,' then texting Falin afterwards 'Vanessa's finally got in touch and she's coming home.' before getting out of bed and heading into Vanessa's room to ready it for her.

When Klaus got there, Vanessa wouldn't have been in his sight, as she was hiding away and watching for when he'd come.

Elijah kissed Kaida's forehead. "You ok?"

Damon looked at her. "You don't have to watch me you know, I'm not going to suddenly drop down dead."

Falin rolled her eyes at that, looking to her phone when she got Tatia's text and simply smiling at it, texting back: That's great. before putting we phone back into her pocket.

Kaida nodded, "Mhm, are you?"

Klaus approached the bench quietly and glanced around for Vanessa when he got there.

Vanessa looked around and made sure nobody was watching, and also checking that her father really was him before running out and slamming into him, wrapping her arms around his waist and burying her face against him. She'd grown a few inches taller, but looked to have lost a lot of weight since she'd been seen last. Her hair was tangled and going past her waist and her clothes were worn and covered in dirt, which was also smudged over her face, barely concealing the bruises and dark circles.

Tatia walked into Mia's room an hour or so later, gently shaking her awake.

Damon kissed her forehead. "Be back in a sec." He suddenly flashed to Emily and playfully picked her up and swung her round.

Elijah noddded. "'m alright."

Klaus stumbled back a step so he wouldn't lose his balance and fall over before hugging her back tightly, instantly smoothing her hair down and whispering, "You haven't been having a nice time, have you, Nessa? What's happened?"

"Mm," Mia groaned in complaint, "Five more minutes..."

Falin watched him.

"Good,"

"Long story short, wolf pack found me, being making my life hell because I wouldn't trigger the curse and join them." Vanessa whispered as she clung onto him, "Get me out of here daddy, I can't cope anymore." she begged as tears rolled down her cheeks. "I can't do it."

"Vanessa's coming home Mia." Tatia told her excitedly.

Elijah smiled and he watched his daughter with Damon and Charlotte.

Kaida followed his gaze quietly.

"Okay, princess, don't cry." Klaus whispered, turning and heading towards the airport, adding gently, "Your safe now, it'll be okay."

"Why? She basically abandoned us. Never even said bye. She can't just come crawling back now." Mia yawned.

Tatia frowned at that, "Because she's your sister and she's finally decided to come home."

Vanessa walked with him, shaking heavily as she walked as she looked over her shoulders constantly.

"She made you and dad fight, she never said bye to me." Mia whispered quietly with a shake of her head.

Klaus glanced to her and frowned.

"If they find me they'll kill me daddy," Vanessa whispered, completely terrified.

"She sounds like she's had a hard time, give her a chance Mia."

Elijah smiled at Emily's giggle when Damon picked her up.

"Not with me here, I won't let them touch you, Ness." Klaus promised gently, pulling her a little closer to him. "You're safe now, Vanessa, I'm here."

"She hurt my feelings…" Mia grumbled quietly.

"He really wants a kid, doesn't he?" Falin asked Elijah with a sigh as she watched Damon.

"I know baby, but I'm sure she'll be so happy to see you."

Vanessa just nodded, clinging tightly to him.

"We'll see," Mia muttered.

Klaus just sighed softly, glancing to her when they got on the plane and the plane flew out of Hawaii.
